Daughter of the Royals

MOIRA As I make my way through the castle, I rush to my sister's corridor, barging in through her office located inside her suite. "I need to talk to you, like now. Follow me." I urge and grab her arm to her dissatisfaction. "What's so urgent Moira? You know I have work to do. Our allies south of us, the Eclipse pack, are requesting aid with more warriors. They say there have been numerous vampire intrusions in the last couple weeks, and until we find out where they're coming from, they appear to need more protection." She groans. "So what is it that could be more important than what we have on our plate right now?" She says, side eyeing me for interrupting her tasks. I roll my eyes at her, grabbing her hand to drag her to my office. She obliges, following me until we walk in and shut the door. "Milandra, You're not going to believe this, but hear me out. You might want to sit down for this." Once we're seated, Jenny walks in, disturbing the news I was about to reveal. "I'm sorry for interrupting, your majesty, can I get you two anything?" she asks, and I send her off to grab us both a cup of warm tea with lemon. She walks back into the room with a tray of two teacups and some cookies for a snack. I thank her and send her on her way, asking her to not let anyone up here at this moment. Once she leaves, I lock the door behind her. "Milandra, I don't know another way to say this, but Karielle is alive." She covers her mouth after my confession, tears lining her eyes at the possibility. "Have you found her? Oh Moira! That's the best news I've heard all day. Where is she? We can go grab her right away." She jumps up and almost trips over her own feet, excitement and nervousness taking over. I look to my hands, and start to pick at my nails before I continue with what I need to tell her. "We haven't found her Milly, yet, but now that we've confirmed she's still with us, we have the best chance to locate her." Dread fills Milandra's face at my words, and I know she feels disappointed with the unknown, just as much fear in her eyes as I feel. "Moi, but if you don't know where she is, how can you be sure she's even alive? What if something bad is happening to her? She needs us Moi, we have to find her!" Milandra cries. I feel the emptiness in the pit of her stomach, Karielle is like a daughter to her, was a daughter to her. She did raise her at the end of the day. I stand up, walking in front of my sister to place my hands on each side of her face. "Look at me Mil, we will find her. I promise. She deserves to know the truth. The stone ultimately does belong to her, and when we find her the rest will fall in place. I need you to find out any info you can of any new members having been registered in any of the surrounding packs. I figured we could at least start there." I tell her. She nods her head at me, wiping the tears from her cheeks before walking past me to leave the room. "One more thing, Moi. When we find her, she needs to know that you are her mother, and not me. Our charade is over." She says before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her. She would completely drop everything else to focus on her new task, while I need to go find my husband so we can figure out a plan of search. MARGARET "She knows, Luna. She knows her daughter is alive!" Jenny comes strolling into my kitchen, placing her hand on the table in front of me. "How do you suppose we can throw her off?" she asks, and I think to myself, pondering over what we could do. "Well, we've already been sending vampires to attack the packs, they need to be weaker for when we make our move. I could care less about any of the others." I reply to her, and she grins. "Since the vampires follow your every order under the spell, how come we don't just kill her, Luna? We don't need her now that you have a little of her blood. She will never know she's under a spell. No memories means no family, which means no protection." Jenny laughs, and I like her thinking. "I'd love to kill that abomination, but with my husband staying close to her, I'm not sure we could succeed in the way we need to. You saw what happened with Emile. That b***h is getting stronger." I grit through my teeth, not liking the idea of anyone that could attain more power than me, and she is the one standing in my way. Our first plan didn't muster, as my minions didn't make it back to me. I'm assuming they were killed, yet I would have loved to see the look on their faces when they realized just who was behind the mask and dark clothes. "Sasha's spirit didn't work out either, considering the white witch knows more than what we had expected. Before, she would have never been able to break a spirit spell. Over the years, she has mastered her magic. We have to keep an eye on her, to keep her from interfering. When we decide to attack, we need to have her somewhere else, or some way to prevent her from getting involved more than she already has. "Luna, why don't we just eliminate her?" Jenny asks, and I sigh. "I wish we could, but she has ties with mood goddess. If we killed her scout, we would be dead before we can even plan an attack. We can't have that happen." I respond. "What about luring your husband away? I mean, he does need to know the truth behind Emile, After all." She implies. I take a moment to think on it, and I'm intrigued. "You know Jen, that may just work." I rub my hands together, preparing for how we can put this in motion. ALPHA CHRISTIAN Alpha, Emile is waking up I receive a mindlink from my beta Hunter that Emile is coming to. "I have to go, can we finish this another time?" I look to Laverne and Karielle along with her new mate, Alpha Daxton. "Wait, can I come with you?" Karielle asks, and I nod my head at her. She has her wolf form now so she can keep up. "If Karielle is coming, I'm gonna join her if you don't mind?" Daxton adds, and I give him the okay. Laverne wishes us to be careful, and we leave her abode to head to the hospital. Once outside, Karielle stays behind while Daxton and I go behind a tree to shift, and I notice the shy look she gives when we come back. "Uhmmm guys." Karielle gestures, and her hesitation is because we're still facing her direction. I almost forgot the last encounter once she shifted. How embarrassed she was to be in the nude in front of anyone else, even though it's natural for werewolves, I'm sure she's not accustomed to it yet, she hasn't had the proper education for werewolf customs. Daxton looks to me with a growl when I didn't immediately turn around, so I turn to give Karielle her privacy. I know how possessive us male wolves can be, so I don't want to initiate any confrontation. Once we're all in wolf form, I take off to lead the way. Karielle and Daxton speeding up so we could all be side by side. I still can't get over the Lycan that Karielle carries inside, beautiful and ethereal in it's beauty. I can't help but admire her, as we haven't been blessed with a presence such as hers since before I was born. She speeds up, gliding past both of us before turning her head back to rub in how fast she is. We look to eachother, smiling in wolf form. We catch up with her right before the clearing to my pack grounds, and we all come to a halt. Daxton stands in front of a tree so Karielle can shift back easily, while we both shift at the same time with her vision of us blocked. We walk through the door of the hospital, Hunter already awaiting our arrival. "We found a note on the door, and it's addressed to you." He says to me, and I take it, hesitating to open it. "I'll read it later, I want to see my son first." I tell him, and he leads the way back to Emile's room. As we file in one by one, Emile has his eyes open, looking over to acknowledge our presence as we come into the room. "Hey guys, I'm glad you're all here." He addresses us, and we all go over to take one of the hospital chairs to sit in next to his bed. He stares blankly between the three of us. I place my hand on his head to rub his hair, so glad to see him well and awake. However, I did not expect the next words I would hear, bringing my fears to life. "I cannot hold it in any longer, you have to know." He says before looking me straight in the eyes. "This is gonna hurt, but... You're not my real father."
