DAXTON
Axel and I arrive at the castle, ready to go to our meeting with this woman who says she knows about the answers we're searching for. Sebastian, Moira, and Alarah are already waiting outside in front of an SUV I'm assuming will be driving us to our destination. I have no idea where we're going or what awaits, but I'm willing to take the chance and find out. "Evening, your majesties, Alarah." I greet them, followed by Axel as well. "Thanks for coming, Daxton, Axel. Are you guys ready to go?" Sebastian asks me, and we're more than ready. I've been anticipating this for as long as I've known we were going. "Readier than ever, let's go." I reply. We all hop in the 2nd and 3rd row seats of the vehicle. Moira and Sebastian in front, while Axel, Alarah and I sit in the back. Before the driver takes off, Alarah chants a few words unknown to me, her eyes aglow in a pretty blue, contrasting with the bright red color of her hair and pale skin. What is she doing? I think to myself, and before I could ask, she speaks up "Sorceress here, at your service." She says with a small chuckle. "Considering my uncle is half sorcerer, I thought you'd know that. But no, I was only showing the driver the directions, and to make sure he forgets once he leaves the premises." She tells me. "Hmm. Why does he need to forget?" I question her, and she sighs a deep breath "For the woman's protection, she does live alone ya know." She says while rolling her eyes, feisty one she is. "Very funny. How was I supposed to know? Besides, it's nice to see someone other than a werewolf here lending a helping hand." I compliment her, and she smiles at my reply. "Alarah, thank you for following through. It may be unknown to us, but I trust your judgement." Moira tells her. We pull up to a section of a forest, with a dirt road that you wouldn't be able to see from the main road. As we're going through the dirt path through the woods, I start to see a small shack structure in the distance, a wooden gate blocking its entrance. As we get closer, I notice the overgrown greenery all over the abode. "What's with all the vines?" I ask. Alarah looks over to me "Well, she is an Earth Witch, after all." This girl is going to drive me insane. "Earth Witch? She's a witch?" Sebastian questions, and Alarah nods her head. "She's a light witch, don't worry." She assures him and he seems relieved at her notion. Once we pull up to the wooden gate, we get out of the suv one by one to take a look at the place. "Wow, I wonder how come we've never known this was here. Our maps do not even show such a place existing." Sebastian comments, and I'm baffled at his statement. How could someone hide something like this in plain sight? Alarah makes the first move to open the gate in front of us before walking forward "Well, what are you waiting for?!" She asks us, so we start to follow behind her until we arrive at the door of the shack. Alarah knocks on the door, and a woman with silver hair and grey eyes, looking somewhat in her 50's, answers with a small smile. "Thank you guys for meeting here, we don't have to worry about unwanted listeners at my discretion." She states, and we all look to eachother. "Come on in, I have some lavender tea awaiting if you'd like a cup." She says while waving us inside. We walk through her doorway, and to my surprise the Father Alpha that we met at the castle last week is here, sitting on couch shaped with green vines. I can't seem to remember his name. "What is he doing here?" I ask out loud, and the Alpha looks my way before speaking. "I have a name. It's Christian. And I suppose maybe the same reason you're here." He says sarcastically. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Let me go grab you a cup of tea." The woman tell us, before walking out of the room to the kitchen next to it. She comes back and hands us all a normal sized teacup. "Now, why don't you guys have a seat. We have dire things to discuss." She says, knowing what we came here for. "Firstly, I'd like to say, Alpha Christian is tied into this more than you know." Surprised at her words, we all continue to listen. "Id like to introduce myself. My name is Laverne, and I'm a light witch. Ive been watching for a long time, and I seem to always be ahead in the sense of knowing what's happened and things I can help with to prevent any tragedies." She finishes. I figured as much, considering she was the one to warn my mom and dad before their demise. Speaking of that, I'd like to get right into it before the others have questions of their own. "Can you tell me more about my mom and dad? what about my brother?" I ask her. She looks down, tapping her fingernails on the glass of her cup, before looking back up and straight at me. "Well, one thing I can tell you, is those who you think are close aren't as close as you think. Also, your brother is closer than what you could imagine." I feel the tears coming down my face, and I stand up to walk over to the woman and grab her hands. "He's alive? Please tell me! I don't need code words I need the truth!" I retort, and she sighs before looking into my eyes. "Child, you will find your brother. I cannot tell you specifics at the moment, or I could violate my own place in this realm. He isn't dead, He's very well alive. I'm sorry, but that's as far as I can go on that subject." I burst into tears at her words, and quietly walk back to where I was sitting and sob quietly. "But if he's alive, why can't you tell us where? How are we supposed to know with no guidance?" Moira interrupts, and I'm keen to see the answer she receives. "When Alpha Daxton finds his mate, things will make a lot more sense." She replies, and King Sebastian jumps up from his seat, pointing his finger at the woman "Quit speaking in riddles!" He shouts, not even phasing the light witch. "King Sebastian, there are things you need to know as well. About your daughter. I know it's easy to get angry but I'm only here to help the best I can." She tells him, and I can see the burning passion in his eyes. "My daughter? What about my daughter?!" He shouts. he didn't say anything about having a daughter. "Where is she!" Moira yells at her, and to her dismay the witch doesn't give her a straight answer. "You will meet her soon enough." She tells her, and Moira puts her head in her hands and starts crying. "What I can tell you all, is you're all connected in some way. You will all have to work together to defeat the dark witch, and that time is coming quicker than you're expecting." She says before looking to Alpha Christian "Do you want to tell them or should I?" She asks him. "Where do I start?" He looks at her questioningly before continuing. "So much has happened. I guess I can cut to the chase though." He says sadly before going on. "The woman you've met at the castle last week, who also happens to be my wife, is a dark witch looking for power, and she's been betraying me. I don't even know who she is anymore!" He shouts the last part in anguish, and even I can feel the hurt behind his words. "Let me get this straight, so this woman you call the dark witch is the woman behind this all?" Alarah asks Laverne, and she nods. "Of course you remember the war with Sasha. SHe was lead to her demise in a synopsis from this embecile. You will know what to do. First, there are people you need to cross paths with, and you've already come across one." Laverne says while pointing her head in Alpha Christian's direction. "Wait, you mean I have a part in all of this? I'm only searching for answers just as well as they are." He says back to her. This is all so confusing. "So the dark witch is trying to gain power, by doing what?" Sebastian asks the light witch. "She is the culprit you need to stop. You need to make sure the yellow stone is guarded overprotectively, if not we'll lose this battle before it even begins." She retorts. We all look to eachother, surprised at her response, not even knowing how to consume this information with not knowing the reasoning behind any of it. Well, besides wanting to gain power. "And one more thing, Daxton, get the man out of your home. He works for the dark witch, and is the reason your mother and father succumbed to their deaths that very day I tried to save them. He let them go on their own, knowing what was going to happen on their way. He was caught and he knew it, so he had to prevent anyone else from finding out." At her words, my blood is boiling. I'm going to torture and kill that sorry bastard!! I'm so angry, not just angry, I'm irate, with tears flowing down my cheeks. But not for sadness this time. No. I'm so mad I can't even think straight. The same piece of s**t that pretended to care, that motherfucker took me away from my home! To protect me! How could I be so blind?! I clench my fists in anticipation for what's gonna happen when I arrive back to my packhouse. "What do we do next? Where do we go from here?" Alarah asks Laverne. "You meet with Alpha Christian at his place, the same place the dark witch has lived for years. Everything else will fall in line after. The clock is ticking." She finishes with a serious tone. At that, we all jump up and get ready to head out. We thank the woman for her little bit of help, before Alarah starts another chant to have our ride come back to pick us up. "But wait, where is my wife?" Alpha Christian questions her, and the Light witch shakes her head. "I do not know, but she is preparing and getting ready to put her plan in motion. You have to figure out the missing woman. If not, your son may suffer." She says, Alpha Christian looking astonished by what she had just said. No explanation behind it. "We have to go." Sebastian says hurriedly, before we all make our way out of the woman's abode, Christian following closely behind us. "Accept the fate that you're all dealt." Laverne yells behind us as we're walking away. We turn our heads toward eachother, not knowing the meaning behind her words. We have to get back home to make a plan of our own, and to figure out what we're going to do next.
