Emma's P.O.V. Today was the last day of vacation, and I was finally meeting my best friend after she went to this summer camp for the whole break. I missed her so much. Sophie has been my best friend since we where sophomores even though she's human and has no idea that I'm a werewolf. We study in a werewolf-human high school were we mingle without problems. The only issue is that it is forbidden for us werewolves to disclose our identities to the human population, which makes it impossible for me to be 100% honest with Sophie, but I'm sure that she won't mind at all when I tell her after we graduate. She's just that type of person. Apart from me being a werewolf, and everything that comes with that, I have no secrets with Sophie. She's the one person that knows me the best, and I her. We tell each other everything. that's why I can't wait to see her so she can tell me everything she did while on the summer camp. I was on our favorite place, a cafe called The Book Club, where we meet almost everyday. The cafe is very cozy with cute sofas and a mini library for you to read to your heart's content while in the place. I was sitting on our table when I finally heard her. "Em!" She was running towards me while laughing. I was so happy I stood up and hug her. "Soph, I missed you so much. Next time we're going on vacation together!" I told her while still hugging her. "Oh my God. You look amazing!" I said when I looked closely at her. Sophie was a very beautiful girl. She had blonde wavy hair, blue eyes and a fair skin matched with a great tan, product of her time in the summer camp. She always looked like a Barbie and a Disney princess put together harmonically. "Oh shut up! You look gorgeous too, though you could use a tan hahaha." She said while sticking her tongue out to me. "Tell me about it!" Sophie and I were like the two sizes of a coin. Where she was blonde, my hair was black. Where her hair was wavy, mine was straight. We were both fair-skinned, however her skin looked a healthy color while I was always pale. The only thing we had in common was our height. We were both human average, which made me short in werewolf height. "Oh my God. I have so much to tell you!" She told me while we took our seats. "Duh! That's why I'm here. Spill it!" I told her. "Ouch! And here I thought you missed me." She said pouting. "Yeah, that too. Now START TALKING!" I said pressing her to start talking. "Ok! Here goes nothing. I have a boyfriend!" She grinned. "What? No way! This is awesome Soph. You have to tell me EVERYTHING." For Sophie and I finding true love has always been our dream. She wished a love like the ones in fairy tales and I dreamed of finding my mate. For werewolves, love doesn't work like it does for humans. We have a fated mate chose for us by the moon goddess herself. The creator of all werewolves choses our partners for life and ties together our souls forever. We meet our mates when we turn 18 and since that day we stay together until death separate us. All it takes is one look and you'll know. I have been waiting to meet my mate ever since my 18th birthday. "Oh my God Em, he's perfect! He's super hot and such a gentleman. You have to meet him!" She told me while making puppy eyes at the ceiling. "Definitely! But tell me more. How did you two meet?" I told her trying to make her talk. "We met at the summer camp. I was walking around the woods one day when he came out of nowhere to tell me he liked my perfume. I told him I wasn't wearing any, and he said "perfect" with his deep voice. After that we started hanging out a lot, until one day he asked me out saying that he has been waiting for me his whole life. Isn't that sweet?" She still had puppy eyes. "Wow, Soph. He seems great. When can I meet perfect guy? I asked making a mocking voice. "Why tonight my friend. He's hosting this party to celebrate out relationship and the end of vacation" She said ignoring my tone. "Hosting a party? Where?" I asked. "At his place. He has a huge house out of town that has a name and everything. It's called The Black Moon or something like that." "The what? What did you say his name was again?" I asked her urgently. "Kyle Black." Oh, no. The soon to be Alpha of my freaking pack!
