Its official, I'm writing a damn book
THIS IS THE EXTENDED DESCRIPTION OF THE BLURB.
She drew attention like a moth. Carrying poise and elegance that just made you twist your neck and watch. Made you feed on every little detail about her. Made you wonder how it would feel like to talk to her.
He caught the attention of girls, making them stop and stare. Wonder what it took to be his girl.Wanting him for his not only easy outgoing attitude but for his effortlessly breathtaking looks. With a calm mind and sweetheart, he was the opposite of her.
Irene Bello fed on fear in St. Augustine's College.Being a self-centered b***h with teachers who adore her and overbearing parents- she was spoilt. To the point that she couldn't do anything without her parents and best friends. But not all is as it seems. She had a past. Something that made her change to who she was.
+ + +So now she took fear. Like a drug. Draining it up to feel important, special even. But the thing with fear was that it needed to be fed, to keep on burning bright. So when her friend tells her of a boy that came from jail, coming to school, she is elated. She saw him as meat, one she can push around everyone would know that no one messed with her. So what happens when the 'Fear-absorbing pretty girl' Irene falls for her conquest?. Heartbreaking, brain bursting drama fills the spot; relationships are splayed bare, trust broken, death occurs, friendships twisted and she pulls herself right into it. That's what happens. So now she's scared, scared of how or if she would repeat those same mistakes in the past if she'll be able to get out alive. If she'll survive. Because now, fear just isn't going to cut through. She was too scared to notice The little things. And sadly those are what matter the most.
AUTHORS NOTE
Hello, my wonderful and great readers, you're looking quite pretty today *wink*.
This is my first book so correct me when I go astray, as in grammatically and stuffs like that.
I would reply and not take offense.
This is a Nigerian Themed Novel, so you would see some words/slangs.
For the foreign readers, if you don't understand something or a word hit my inbox, I am very nice and welcoming!.
I would also try to explain after the chapter.
If it is very important and crucial.
***
This book personally means a lot to me, it cuts across a lot of things people or most students go through, I once saw myself as someone in this book.
It speaks about bullying, ah yes, a lot know about it, face it even, it brings out the worst in you, leads you to depression. 'The little things' would touch across bullying, because it is the main factor in the problems of Nigerian Highschool.
Highschool Hierarchy, we may know a lot about it. Because where I come from, it means everything, if you aren't in the lead, or part of the, it gang, then you are nothing. It means you would be stepped on, trampled on because you simply aren't worth it. Please hierarchy isn't everything, there are better things that matter.
This takes me to my next topic.
Depression, my people it is REAL!, this doesn't mean being sad or s**t, pondering about life and eating icecream. No. Being sad is just a small factor; eating disorder, no use to live, emptiness, never happy, doesn't smile after a while, you self harm, cutting yourself from the outside world, e.t.c. Those are signs of depression.
If you do not have any of these then I think, you should not complain, instead appreciate, and embrace people around your life before they are gone.
Denial, when someone fails to acknowledge, still living the fantasy that everything alright.
Rape, I am not going to go deep into it, but I want to say, for everyone, it is okay.
You CAN speak up.
Please call these numbers, 0808 802 9999, 0808 802 1414.
Rape is a very serious crime that needs to be reported and taken more seriously.
Please, girls and boys, speak up.
These things and more would cover in the book. This book is meant to be used as a lesson, to learn and understand life better, no trashy s**t, Okay?!.
I hope you get to the better or greener pastures of what you're suffering from.
