Gone into shock

*IN S.T.A.R Labs*

"So are you saying that it actually happened? I mean like it was not a dream or something ?",asked Oliver lightly

Sam sighed and said,"Oliver! I have repeated the incident thrice , does it still sound like a dream to you?"

"No, I mean, what if you were actually imagining those things?", asked Oliver.

Sam sighed again but did not reply. 

Diana looked at Sam as though she understood his situation, she just kept nodding and giving him a knowing stare.

"Oliver, look, after you heard that time travel and making people go wild and crazy with just an injection, do you think that anything else is impossible? Huh?",asked Diana

"Wait, what did you just say about making people go wild with an injection?",asked Oliver while Sam frowned.

"I mean..... I saw it in a movie.... It was based on real life I think. They injected people with something and they....they lost their senses and all....",said Diana nervously, chuckling

"Diana, are you okay?",asked Sam.

"Yeah of course! By the way, I need to go, check on William......",said Diana and went away. 

Sam looked at Oliver and said," Is she fine?"

Oliver shrugged and said,"Well,....she said so"

*In Ronald's Labs*

Ronald shouted,"Patrick, please connect the call to Sam"

" Yes sir"

Patrick connected the call and handed the phone to Ronald.

"Helloww, Hey Sam, How are you?",said Patrick

"I am fine, thanks sir, how are you?",asked Sam

" Umm...I am not good Sam",said Ronald, motioning Patrick with his hand, to go out.

"Why sir? What happened?",asked Sam, his voice sounding concerned over the phone.

"Uh....the prisoners who I were keeping here....are .....dead...and I am quite sad to inform you...as Patrick told me , you had a bond with them...and you used to visit them. Never mind, why would they matter ",said Ronald 

" So how is your grandmother's wedding going on anyways?",joked Ronald.

"Fine...", replied Sam, from the other end,"Fine"

"You sound nervous , boy, are you okay?",asked Ronald 

Sam didnot reply.

"Hey are you still there?", asked Ronald.

No reply.

Ronald cut the call.

Ronald had done exactly what he wanted to do, and now he would have Sam running to New York.

Ronald knew that Sam cared for his father and sister. He would come at the news of their deaths. Only, he didn't know that they weren't. They were all good and alive in their rooms, perfectly fit and fine.

*In S.T.A.R Labs*

"Sam you look pale! Are you......fine?",asked Oliver who was standing infront of him.

Sam had no expression on his face. He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to believe it. Marie and Leo dead?! No? They were strong enough to withstand anything. They couldn't abandon him. All these thoughts ran in his mind. His hand went numb and he dropped the phone. 

Oliver shook Sam,"Come back!"

"Oliver! It can't happen! Please! Tell me it is a dream! Please!", screamed Sam, coming back to his senses.

"Yeah!",lied Oliver, "This is a dream! Now tell me what happened"

"My father!My sister! They are dead! It can't happen ! Please! Call Bolan!", screamed Sam

Oliver stared at Sam who was now crouching infront of him. Rocking back and forth and crying hard. 

Oliver looked at Sam uncertainly. He wasn't sure if leaving Sam there alone was a very good idea. But he ran and called out to Bolan, William and Diana.

Bolan and William came rushing to him.

"It's Sam! Something is happening to him. He was talking to Ronald on the phone and then he started crying he said he wanted to talk to you. He said his sister and father were dead",said Oliver

"But.....his father is already.....What did Ronald tell him?",asked William.

"I- I don't know",said Oliver.

 All the three of them went to the Oliver's lab where they found Sam unconscious on the floor. 

"Is he ....d-dead?",asked Bolan, completely horrified.

"No no no no",said William checking his pulse,"It's slowing down, Oliver! Let's carry him to the doctors"

And then the three of them carried an unconscious Sam to the operating room

*In Ronald's Labs*

"Is the prison transfer done?",asked Ronald.

"Yes sir",said Patrick, entering the room,"But sir, ....what was the need of transferring Leo and Marie to another guarded cell? ",asked Patrick.

"Well....it was important. You know that Sam cannot know about this!",said Ronald

"Yes sir. If he asks I will tell him that they are dead. That I found them dead in the room , and it looked like they had a fight.",said Patrick.

"That is a terrific reason , Patrick!",said Ronald, looking weary,"You will tell him that you found them hanging "

Patrick wrinkled his nose and said,"That would be quite harsh sir...",then looking at how Ronald looked at him, he said,"Okay sir, I will tell him that I found them hanging in the room"

"Great,now go!",said Ronald to Patrick.

And Patrick left.

Ronald knew that one day or the other Patrick would reveal it to Sam that his father and sister were alive. He wanted Sam to know it from Patrick, he knew that Patrick would be careless and reveal the truth, or Ronald would have never have given Patrick the responsibility. Ronald wanted Sam to know that Ronald lied. Such twisted were his evil plans.

"We are not able to revive him sir!", screamed one of the doctors over many beeping monitors.

"Try Again!",screamed William.

Sam opened his eyes. He saw a bright light. He could hear William screaming, Oliver sobbing and Bolan shouting. Sam couldn't see them. And being a bright kid, he instantly figured out where he was again, in the realm between reality and dream. He screamed but got no response. He wanted to get out of there but he couldn't.
