Chapter 4:We Meet Again

Mira’s POV

Anxiety and Dread filled my heart as the surroundings became familiar till eventually I knew we had reached the border of the pack lands. I could hear the sound of children playing, I can hear the sound of the training taking place. I can hear the heartbeats of 7 individuals on the Alpha and Beta Floors in the pack house. 3 I knew to be the Betas Family. 3 I knew to be my children and my mate. And the 7th I did not recognize but I knew it was Finnicks new lover or Luna.

I felt Derek squeeze my hand and I could hear him try to reassure me as the SUV halted at the gates.

“Who are you and what business do you have here?” Stated the guard.

“We are..you could say extended family of the Alpha and his children.” Michael said calmly.

The guard lifted his eyebrow, before saying “The Alpha did not inform us of visitors or family coming in today. Again, who are you and what business do you have on our lands?” The young guard stated firmly.

I rolled down the window and leaned my head out. I looked at the guard, “You can tell him the Luna has returned and I demand entrance” I said as graceful as a queen.

The look on his face, was priceless his jaw dropped so wide before stuttering “Yes ma’am wa-wa- wait here.”

His eyes glazed for a few minutes and said “He is on his way. Please wait.”

“Nicely done, way to be subtle.” Michael smirked.

Derek jumped in and said “Well you did tell her it can go one way or the other. Might as well get it over with.”

I sighed as I looked out the window. Minutes flew by and then I saw him. A black wolf with silver tips larger than life standing with another slightly smaller grey wolf at the entrance.Reign pushed forward and whispered “Osiris”

I got down and slowly made my way to the gate. Michael tailing me. Derek in the SUV just in case we had to escape.

As I approached I could feel Osiris’s heart beat quicken, I sank to my knees & I looked at Osiris before saying “Am I allowed entrance Osiris or is your human stating I need to leave?”

He pressed forward before he could come closer Michael stepped in front of him and shielded me. Osiris let out a growl. “That is close enough, wolf. You will not harm my Luna. Shift if you want to talk to her.”

I touched Michael on his shoulder and squeezed his hand. Earning another growl from Osiris, Reign surged forward “Cease your growls mate. I can smell another female on your human. He has no right over her any longer. But you will not harm this individual and his mate. They are her family. We have no issue with you Osiris but with your human.”

Osiris c****d his head to the side and then trotted to the woods with his beta to shift.

And then out came Finnick..

He looked the same, Silver Eyes, golden brown hair and tanned skin, he was the epitome of perfection with muscles and a strong jaw. My heart tightened with a sharp pain, just looking at him. He walked up to where I was standing but a few feet away.

I searched for signs of hostility on his face but I could find none.

“Mira..welcome back.” He said quietly in that southern sexy drawl I fell for. Focus Mira focus I could hear Michael and Derek linking me.

I quickly let my thought go and addressed him before I became distracted again.

“Finnick. Am I allowed entrance or are you going to kill me as you meant to 4 years ago?”- I stated defiantly.

But before he could reply, another’s voice rang out “Look here you slut, you are to leave and never return. You have no rights as Luna here. We will kill you if you try to step on our lands. We do not take in rogues who abandon their family and kill innocents. Finnick baby tell her she needs to leave right away.”

I turned to the side and there was a skinny red head with a pixie cut, on the short side with big hips and with make up caked on strutting her way up to me. She was dressed like a high class hooker. I would not say she is beautiful, She is on the pretty side but not who I expected for Finnick to fall prey too. However just by glancing at Finnick and the way his jaw is straining she is nothing more than a bed warmer who doesn’t know her place. No matter no one talks to me that way. I glanced back at the small figure standing but a few inches from my face glaring up at me.

I could see Michael and Finnick start forward but stop once I held up my hand.

Michael to shield me and Finnick to probably protect his pack member from what he knows what we will happen if I let Reign take over.

“Listen..”

“Ava, the future Luna of this pack.” She drawled out in northern New York accent.

I smiled at that before I leaned forward and brushed the silver strands from my eyes, and replied “Listen Ava, I do not associate nor demean myself with the newest flavor of the month for the Alpha. As a Luna which you should know if you really were the future Luna of this pack, that we hold ourselves with dignity and Grace when talking and speaking to guests and not as some low end bar maid. However as Finnick has not stopped me, nor corrected me it would seem to be that your words hold no truth. Now as I am a Luna in fact the TRUE LUNA of this pack actually, I will be kind enough to let this small matter go as it appears you were not taught manners growing up. But do not take my kindness for weakness as I will not let this go next time. In fact if you were to cross me or try anything I will allow my wolf to kill you as she is an Alpha in her own right and does not tolerate the disrespect.

Do I make myself clear Ava?” With my aura pressing her to her knees into submission.

Her nose almost touching the ground, she squealed out “Yes”

“Yes what Ava, let’s not forget our manners again.” I stated softly.

“Yes Ma’am, I mean Luna.” She gasped out.

Feeling happy, I released my aura. “Good girl, now get out of my sight.”

She struggled to get up and I saw Finnick signal Lucian to assist her. Lucian looked at him and shook his head before grabbing Ava removing her. She sobbed as he carried her away.

I looked away and looked back at Finnick.

“Now where were we? Am I allowed in or will this be a fight to the death? I am telling you now I won’t be leaving Finnick. Not without a fight.”
