It was Lisa, not Carlos, who showed up early at Cybernetic. She had to take physiology readings from a half dozen rats and two dogs who were part of a new study that had to be done in time for the project review. She’d been stupid enough to “volunteer” when Andy Marino claimed to be busy. Probably recovering from a date with Carlos at the museum and in her bedroom, she thought. That idea pissed her off more than the ruined Saturday. Here she was in southern California with beautiful weather and no one to share it with. Maybe Andy’s slutty approach was the way to go.
