The Affair Was Revealed.
Matilda
I wiped my tears immediately when someone approached me in their doctor's suit. "Matilda, you said you weren't feeling well. Why did you still come to the hospital? Poor your baby if forced to work." Bianca held my forehead; she tried to check my body temperature and didn't stop worrying.
"Ah, I'm back because I think I'm better now." I tried to smile.
"Are you sure? You look pale; your eyes look swollen and tired." Bianca kept checking on me; I was indeed sick, and my stomach had been cramping for the past few hours. However, going home only made my condition worse.
"Matilda? Are you sure you're okay?" Bianca stopped another fleeting pain I received an hour ago when I got home and discovered the affair between my husband and my own best friend.
"Yes, I'm fine. By the way, I have to go check on the patient in room 102. I'll go first." I got up, leaving Bianca at my previous resting place. However, I hadn't walked far when the pain in my stomach made it impossible for me to act anymore.
"Matilda!!!" My legs went weak, and I collapsed on the floor. Bianca behind me shouted my name repeatedly while running to help me.

At ten o'clock at night, I returned home. I did not find Alpha Byron, who always welcomes my return. This is the umpteenth time he has ignored his habit of always welcoming me. But I'm not surprised; I know the cause must be Hazel, and I don't need to wonder anymore.
I walked slowly while holding my stomach towards the room. The doctor said my baby was fine; I just needed to rest and take good care of my baby. After all, they knew there was a future heir to Moonshadow in my womb.
"Nothing will happen. Silver Paw won't be able to attack us. You just need to make sure you stay by my side, Hazel." Unintentionally, Alpha Byron's voice reached my ears.
That voice pierced my heart even deeper; Alpha Byron was at home and was with Hazel in his lap. Damn, they should have closed the door tightly. Now I look foolish in place. Hazel and Alpha Byron's eyes are now on me.
They were taken aback and moved away from each other. Alpha Byron approached me and caressed his child in my womb. "Earlier, Hazel fell; I caught her. No problem, right?" Alpha Byron smiled and kissed the top of my head.
I didn't say anything; my sharp gaze was directed at Hazel, who was frozen in place. If I weren't pregnant, I swear to God I would confront them.
"Ah yes, Hazel will stay here because she is fighting with Alpha Oliver. You don't mind helping your friend, do you?" And I just understood why Byron always hid behind the words 'because Hazel is my friend,' and I, in the past, would always foolishly excuse him.
"The presence of Hazel will also help our pack; after all, you are too busy with your career that you can't let go. While Hazel will always be there."
Ck, the incident a few hours ago has opened my eyes. I, who always trusted my husband, now feel nauseous with just one of his words. Now his words are becoming more and more absurd and increasingly clarifying the relationship between them.
"Hazel will cause a big problem between the packs. You didn't consider that?" I asked boldly.
"Silver Paw won't dare to attack us. Alpha Oliver will understand his wife, who is sulking and temporarily staying at her friend's house; that's because you are here."
"Oh my God, my husband is so kind and considerate of the situation. I almost forgot whether Hazel is my friend or Alpha Byron's friend." I laughed bitterly, then went to my own room. The Alpha didn't even notice my heavy footsteps or ask how our child in my womb was doing.
Until minutes passed alone in the room, I hoped Alpha Byron would come and ask about our baby. But the one who came to my room was Hazel.
"Matilda, I feel guilty towards you." I smiled sarcastically; she felt guilty but shamelessly wanted to stay here.
"I want to sleep, please leave." I pulled my blanket, but Hazel came closer instead.
"I won't leave until you forgive me." Hazel insisted on staying in my room.
"Are you apologizing or asking for my permission to become my husband's harem?"
"Matilda, why are you belittling me? What is the use of our years of friendship if you won't forgive even a little of my mistakes?" Hazel looked offended.
"So I have to tolerate it if my best friend sleeps with my husband? Or, because you're my friend, do I have to share my husband with you?" Hazel's eyes were teary; usually I always felt sorry for that expression and ended up sharing my toys or food with her. This time, I found it amusing to see her.
"You've gone too far; it should have been me who went to Moonshadow from the beginning. You are not worthy of being Luna in this pack; you are too ambitious with your career, your husband is lonely, and the pack is neglected."
Hazel is starting to dare to attack me; her true character is now clearly visible. How could I have been deceived for over a decade by a face like this?
"Don't you have anything to do at Silver Paw? Aren't you taking care of your own husband?" Hazel's eyes turned red. I held my stomach, trying to protect my baby in case Hazel intended to attack me. The only thing that keeps me going is this baby, and the one that protects them from my anger is this baby.
Hazel's eyes narrowed further. I could guess what would happen next, but we were interrupted by a knock from a maid outside my room.
"Mrs. Matilda, the Alpha from Silver Paw, has come here to pick up Mrs. Hazel."
