CHAPTER ONE~ LOUISIANA
Hey 👋 people🙂. I’m excited to be on this journey with you. Thrilled in fact. Sure it’s work, but for you guys🙃,I’m willing. Get ready, the journey begins. CHAPTER 1:- LOUISIANA Louisiana ^°^ Having a bad hair day has to be one of the worst things that can happen to a young woman—especially one who’s about to graduate from university and step into the real world. It might sound dramatic, but trust me, when your hair refuses to cooperate, it feels like the universe is testing your patience before the day has even begun. Every morning, I make myself the same promise: no matter what happens, I’ll make the most of my time. Life is too short to waste it worrying about things I can’t control. Well… that’s the plan, anyway. Reality is a little different. I smiled to myself. I’m always daydreaming. Even during lectures, my mind has a terrible habit of wandering off to places it has absolutely no business visiting. One minute my professor is explaining an important topic, and the next, I’m imagining what it’d be like to have children one day, or suddenly grow a pair of beautiful wings and fly above the clouds. Sometimes I picture myself performing on a brightly lit stage before thousands of screaming fans, living my dream as a global pop star just like my favourite group, BTS. My bias is Jimin. There’s something about him that’s incredibly graceful. He carries himself with such elegance and kindness that it’s impossible not to admire him. His confidence, passion for music, and dedication inspire me to find my own voice and carve out my own path in life instead of living in someone else’s shadow. And, if I’m being completely honest, I think he’s one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever seen. With a small laugh, I pushed the thoughts aside and forced myself out of bed. A quiet yawn escaped my lips as I stretched my arms as far as they could go, feeling my muscles loosen after another night’s sleep. Since I don’t participate in any extracurricular activities, mornings are usually slow and peaceful—at least until I remember my hair. Ugh. The mere thought of dragging a comb through it made me want to crawl back under my blanket. Normally, my hair is soft, silky, and easy to manage. But every once in a while, it develops a mind of its own, becoming dry, stubborn, and impossible to tame. It happens so often that I’ve jokingly started calling it my “hair period.” Unlike menstrual cramps, though, this particular struggle attacks my patience instead of my body. Grabbing my fluffy white towel from the drawer opposite the foot of my bed, I made my way toward the bathroom. The moment I flicked on the light switch, the room glowed brilliantly. Everything was white. The walls. The sink. The marble floor. Even the neatly folded towels hanging beside the shower. I’ve always loved the colour white. To me, it represents peace, hope, innocence, and purity. Growing up, my parents often told me that a true princess wasn’t defined by expensive dresses or sparkling crowns but by having a pure heart. They believed kindness mattered far more than beauty. A bittersweet smile found its way onto my face. Thinking about them always brought back memories—some beautiful enough to make me smile, others painful enough to leave an ache in my chest. The past has a strange way of reminding you of everything you’ve gained… and everything you’ve lost. Shaking away the thoughts, I reached for my white toothbrush and squeezed a ribbon of toothpaste onto its bristles. Yes, even my toothbrush is white. Don’t judge me. I brushed carefully, making sure every corner of my mouth was spotless before rinsing thoroughly. Afterwards, I picked up my phone and pressed play on one of Jimin’s songs. His soothing voice filled the bathroom at a low volume, instantly making the morning feel a little brighter. Music has always had that effect on me. It quiets the noise inside my head. Oh, where are my manners? My name is Louisiana Patrick, and I’m nineteen years old. Next year, I’ll turn twenty, and hopefully by then I’ll have begun building the life I’ve always dreamed of. I want to become a successful model, travel the world, represent luxury brands, and inspire other young women to chase their dreams fearlessly. Watching people like Jungkook and V confidently represent global fashion brands reminds me that impossible dreams sometimes become reality. Maybe mine will too. After all, every extraordinary story has to begin with an ordinary morning. Stepping out of the bathroom, I wrapped a soft white towel around my body before reaching for another to gently dry my skin. Being an aspiring model isn’t as glamorous as people think. It means constantly taking care of yourself, almost like looking after a fragile baby. Every little bruise, scratch, or scar matters. A single injury could ruin a photoshoot or cost me an opportunity I’ve been working towards for years. That’s one of the many reasons I don’t have a boyfriend. Ew. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. Imagine a guy kissing my neck and leaving hickeys everywhere. Absolutely not. I’d have to spend days covering them with makeup, and if a photographer noticed, I’d never hear the end of it. Relationships can wait. Right now, my career comes first. After moisturizing my skin, I walked over to my wardrobe and carefully picked out my outfit for the day. I settled on a pair of fitted black leggings that hugged my long legs perfectly, pairing them with a simple off-shoulder white top. It was casual, comfortable, and stylish enough for classes without looking like I was trying too hard. Standing in front of my full-length mirror, I gathered my stubborn curls into a loose, messy bun. A few strands escaped and framed my face, giving me a naturally effortless look. I smiled at my reflection. “Not bad, Louisiana,” I whispered to myself. Before leaving, I made my bed neatly, arranged my study desk, and picked up the clothes I’d left lying on the chair the night before. I hated returning to a messy room after school, so I always made sure everything was in order before stepping out. Satisfied, I grabbed my backpack and hurried downstairs. “Mum!” I called cheerfully. “Good morning, sweetheart.” My mum has to be the best mother in the entire world. Besides being incredibly caring, she’s an amazing cook. The aroma of freshly toasted sandwiches, scrambled eggs, and hot chocolate filled the dining room, making my stomach grumble despite my determination to watch my diet. The breakfast table looked like something straight out of a magazine. “Sit down and eat properly,” Mum said, placing another sandwich onto my plate. “You’re becoming too skinny.” I laughed softly. “Mum, I’m fine. I promise.” She frowned, clearly unconvinced. “You need strength, Louisiana.” “I know, but I have to be careful,” I replied with an apologetic smile. “Models have to maintain their figure.” Reluctantly, she sighed while I wrapped four sandwich pieces in a napkin to eat later in Amelia’s car. Just as I zipped up my backpack, the sound of a loud car horn echoed from outside. Honk! Honk! “Girl! Get over here before we’re late!” Amelia shouted through the open window. “I’m coming!” I yelled back, laughing as I hurried toward the front door. Before I could step outside, my phone suddenly vibrated in my hand. I glanced at the screen. Matthew. My smile disappeared instantly. “Oh, no,” I groaned. “Not him again.” Without wasting another second, I dashed toward Amelia’s car. “Amelia, quick!” I said as I jumped into the passenger seat. “Start the car. He’s already on his way!” She didn’t ask questions. The engine roared to life, and within seconds, we sped away from the house, leaving the quiet morning behind as my heart pounded with nervous anticipation.
