So imagine you have to leave your home town right in the middle of your junior year. So that gives you a year and a half to meet new people, make new friends and love people that you will eventually leave again when you get into college. Added to that since it is the middle of the school year your identical twin and you can't get into the same school. Therefore your parents decide that for the meantime it would be best for you both to go your separate ways until one of the schools opens up an extra space and one of you can be transferred. My name is Elisabeth and my sister's name is Lizbeth. Yeah, very creative parents we both have.

First day of Junior year again
Beth's POV "Hurry up girls!" That's mom calling from the bottom of the staircase. "You're going to be late on your first day of school!" Eesh, does she ever stop yelling? "Coming mom!" Liz and I both yell at the same time. We both walk out of our rooms and meet at the beginning of the stairs. At least that is a good thing, in the middle of all this swamp. We had to leave our hometown because mom and dad got a better position in the firm they work for, they get paid more. Which is awesome, don't get me wrong, but we had to leave all our lifetime friends behind. While we all promised to stay in touch and talk everyday, we have to be realistic though. That's not happening. They will continue life together doing everything we used to do, be too busy to reply to our texts and eventually we all will move on and stop making efforts to keep in touch. Liz hates it when I say stuff like that but she knows it's true. So anyway the house is nice, it's bigger, for a change we each have our separate rooms as opposed to back in Oregon where we used to share a room. Another bad thing however is that due to this whole moving to a new state thing, in the middle of the school year we are not attending the same school. Liz is going to Crenshaw High and yours truly will be attending Walter White High. Why not look for a third option? Well our parents did but they really didn't bother checking availability once they saw the distance. It was just too far and Liz and I do prefer walking or bike distance since we don't drive. We usually carpool or walk home from school and vice versa, so our best option really was to pucker up and deal with a couple of months of not being together all day. "Hurry up girls, breakfast is getting cold and I don't want any of us to be late for our first days." Mom pulled me out of my inner thoughts as we hit the final step and she greeted us each with a hug and a kiss. Yup, her and dad are also starting at their new location today. "Can't we just be homeschooled until there is a spot for both of us at one of the schools?" Liz asked. Mom just looked at her with a weary look. "Hun you know I wish it didn't have to get to this. I know you've never been apart." she answered while looking at each of her pleading daughters. "Now don't pout, you'll stay that way. Plus we already agreed on this and I don't want you running behind on school. "Worth a shot." Liz grumbled "Your mother is right mija." Dad agrees walking into the kitchen whilst fighting his tie. Mom quickly gets up to the rescue and does the knot for him. "Think of it as a break, discover who you are without your other half telling you what to do and what not to do, have some fun. Play around, meet new people without the other ones input on them." Dad finished and gave mom a quick peck on the lips. "Just don't get into trouble, we are lawyers but I will say I never met you if there is a trial." he continued and gave us each a kiss on the forehead. "Dad come on. That's not true." We answer in unison. "But fine, it probably will be more fun to not be competing for the same stuff with my sister all the time." Liz remarks. "You're right. Who knows? Maybe I'll find a more dignifying opponent." I smirk knowing too well she meant that same thing to her advantage. "You wish." She smiled giving me a light shove. Yes, Liz and I got along very well, mainly I think that it's because we really are best friends and like pretty much the same things. It's not like we never fight or anything we just really like the friendly competition with each other. Also we are not those types of sisters where one of them is super girly and the other seems to have an everyday fight with good taste in clothes. We are pretty much the same person. Liz however is the nicer and kinder version of myself. She's always thinking of others before herself and being careful not to make anyone feel bad. She is also more mature than I am for our age. "Let's go niñas. We don't wanna be late." Dad says while putting the dishes in the dish washer and setting it's timer. "Dad's right we have just enough time to drop you guys off at your schools before we have to be in the firm for the greet and meet." Mom finishes off as she grabs the keys from the bowl on the counter. We all pile out of the house and into the car. Liz's POV "Beth come on, just get out the car already, we are not five anymore." I reprimanded as I tried to get her to let go of my body. "I'll text you throughout the day to see how your day is going." "Promise." She lets out hurriedly giving me her infamous puppy eyes. "Promise." I say lifting my hand up. "Now hurry, the faster we start this the faster we finish the day." "Okay. See you after school." She gets off the car and throws us a kiss as she closes the door. "Bien hecho mija, I thought I was going to have to yank her off you." Dad compliments me while stepping on the gas pedal. "De nada, you know how she is. Just likes to make some drama." I don't know why though she is always the more social and fun to be around twin. People see us and the way we act when we are together and may think that not only are we fiscally the same but we act the same. Which is not wrong for the most part, we do like to compete with each other, both have good taste in clothes and we both like sports. She is however the one with the carisma and funny remarks, the jokes. She is just better around people, never afraid to speak her mind, but very loyal to her friends. She is just better for that. I am just a little more awkward on that topic. Maybe trying out what dad said wouldn't be so bad. I can try something new. I can try getting to know people without depending on Beth. "Here you are Liz." Mom pulls me out of my thoughts. "Remember we'll pick you guys up after school to go shopping. Remind Beth for me please. I sent her a text but she hasn't seen it." "Yes ma'am." I salute gaining a playful eye roll. I'm walking to the main office when I feel my phone vibrate. -Yo, guess who has volleyball tryouts this week? -No way how lucky. But what about your class schedule did you get all the AP classes you wanted? -Right, school stuff. I did, in all honesty classes look okay. The buildings look nice no graffiti like at home. How does your school look? -Well I am barely just about in, going into the office to get my schedule and locker number. --Oh and mom said to remind you we are going shopping so wait for us at the school entrance. I had just sent the message to Beth when I bumped into a wall. I guess that's what happens when you text and walk. I lift my head rubbing my forehead only to realize the wall has a face.
