Chapter 1: The Dominant Omega
In one of the finest restaurants in the city, the golden chandeliers' lights reflected off the tables adorned with white flowers, while soft piano music filled the air. Amidst this luxurious setting, a dominant alpha sat at a table near the window, wearing a sleek black suit that accentuated his powerful frame.
David Falcon was one of the most famous alphas in his community, not only because of his striking good looks but also due to his overwhelming presence. His shiny black hair cascaded smoothly over his forehead, and his gray eyes reflected strength and confidence that everyone had come to recognize in him.
Across from him sat his friend Harry, another alpha with a playful smile and brown eyes that sparkled with enthusiasm. But today, he appeared more serious, as if something was occupying his thoughts.
David (calmly, as he stirred his coffee):
"Alright, Harry. What made you insist on bringing me here?"
Harry (hesitant but excited):
"Actually... there's something I want to talk to you about."
David (raising an eyebrow):
"This sounds serious."
Harry (lowering his voice as if afraid someone might hear):
"Yesterday, I was at a regular café in the city center. Nothing special... until I saw him."
David (curiously):
"Who do you mean?"
Harry (slowly, as if processing his words):
"A dominant omega."
David’s expression froze for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure.
David (with a sarcastic smile):
"Harry, do you hear yourself? There’s no such thing as a 'dominant omega.' Alphas are the dominant ones, and omegas... well, omegas are naturally submissive."
Harry (insisting, leaning forward as if trying to prove his point):
"I know how it sounds, but I’m sure of what I saw. His scent wasn’t like regular omegas. It was strong, completely different."
David (watching his friend with suspicion):
"Maybe he was just a weak alpha. Not all alphas are built like tanks."
Harry (shaking his head):
"No, David. His body was slim and frail, but he wasn’t weak. His eyes... there was something in his eyes that’s hard to explain."
David (calmly, as if testing his friend):
"So what makes you sure he isn’t just a regular omega?"
Harry (in a low voice):
"His scent."
David took a sip of his coffee, pretending not to care, but curiosity began to creep into his mind. He knew Harry wasn’t the type to exaggerate, and if what he was saying was true...
David (with a simple nod):
"Alright, if you're this insistent, we’ll go to that café tomorrow. I want to see this 'dominant omega' for myself."
Harry (smiling triumphantly):
"You won’t regret it."
The Next Day
Early in the morning, the warm rays of the sun bathed the city, marking the beginning of a new day. A sleek black car pulled up in front of the small café Harry had mentioned. The place wasn’t anything special from the outside—just a simple façade with a traditional name and windows reflecting the sunlight gently.
David pushed open the café door and walked in, followed by Harry. The scent of fresh coffee mixed with baked sweets, giving the place a warm, comforting vibe.
Harry (whispering, pointing lightly):
"There."
David turned slowly, and that’s when he saw him.
A slender young man, not much in terms of physical strength, but there was something undeniable in his features. His skin was smooth, a soft ivory color, and his amber eyes radiated a strange calmness. His black hair cascaded smoothly, framing his face with a touch of innocence and femininity.
But it wasn’t his appearance that caught David’s attention the most... it was the scent.
It was both floral and strong, like a mixture of wildflowers and summer rain. Not like the usual omega scent he was used to, but something deeper, more intriguing.
David (whispering to himself):
"This... can’t be."
At that moment, the omega turned to look at them, and when their eyes met, David’s heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t fear, but a strange sensation of uncovering a secret he hadn’t realized existed before.
Kyle (with a calm voice, as he approached them):
"Good morning, welcome to 'Blue Moon' café. What can I get for you?"
David didn’t respond immediately. For a moment, it felt like the words had escaped him.
Harry (with a broad smile, looking at his friend):
"Black coffee for me, and I think my friend here would like a latte."
Kyle nodded quietly, took their orders, and then walked off toward the kitchen.
David (in a low voice, still watching him):
"This... isn’t over yet."
Harry looked at him, smiling, as if the events were only just beginning, while David remained lost in thought, wondering about the truth of this mysterious omega.
Later That Evening
David returned to his mansion that night, but his mind didn’t stop turning. The image of Kyle and his amber eyes was stuck in his mind. How could an omega possess such calm confidence? And more importantly... that scent.
He sat on the luxurious leather couch in his expansive office and lit a cigarette as he stared at the flames flickering in the fireplace.
David (speaking to himself softly):
"There’s no such thing as a dominant omega... it’s just a myth."
But despite his words, part of him refused to believe it.
The Next Day
With the dawn of the next morning, David returned to the café, deliberately arriving early. The place was nearly empty, giving him a chance to observe Kyle up close without raising suspicion.
He walked in confidently, and as usual, the scent of fresh coffee greeted him. Kyle was behind the counter, arranging some glass cups. That familiar, unique scent still lingered in the air, stronger than it had been the day before.
When their eyes met, David felt that subtle tension. But Kyle didn’t seem surprised. On the contrary, he greeted David with a calm smile.
Kyle (with his usual calm tone):
"Good morning, sir. The usual?"
David (watching every movement of Kyle):
"Good morning, Kyle. Yes, a latte."
As Kyle prepared the coffee, David decided to start another conversation.
David (in a low but deep voice):
"You don’t seem like a regular omega."
Kyle paused for a moment but showed no sign of hesitation.
Kyle (with a faint smile):
"Is there a rule for what an omega should be like?"
David (with a sideways grin):
"No, but your scent... it’s not like theirs."
Kyle raised his gaze and looked directly into David’s eyes.
Kyle (with a steady voice):
"Maybe because I’m not like them."
His words were simple, but they carried many meanings.
Kyle placed the coffee on the table in front of David, then turned to return to his work. But this time, David wasn’t planning to back down.
David (in a quiet voice, as if warning):
"I’ll find out what you’re hiding, Kyle."
But Kyle, without looking back, responded with calm words full of mystery:
Kyle:
"Maybe... but you might not like what you discover."
