CHAPTER 70
The empire was in disarray. Whoever went into the sanctum did not return the same. It was as if they were mutating into something not human. They looked pale in contrast to their darkened veins, and to everyone’s horror, they began to crave blood. They were stronger and faster than the others. They began to conquer several other places, and whoever they deemed fit was brought back to the emperor and changed by the herb.
The Vrykolakas population grew, and the emperor was pleased. The more forces he got, and the stronger they became, the stronger he became. Equally feeding made him stronger. The herb once again began looking like a heart. Slowly but surely, what once resembled a flower now looked like a human heart.
