Cayla lit a fire and waited patiently for Cade to rouse from his slumber. To say she was stunned by his arrival would be an understatement. A lot of things weren’t adding up, and she felt so lost—a huge part of her wished that this was all a dream. The thought of losing her entire family was nerve-wracking. The goddess's words echoed in her mind; she was truly at a loss. She didn't even know what to do next.
