Chapter 2

Sophia pov

So Micheal’s mom wasn't lying, I fell to the floor with tears dripping down my cheek.

“I am so stupid!” I yelled to think I meant more to him,now his engaged and I am pregnant. What am I supposed to do.

Michael’s mom walked in on me in the restroom of the office few hours back to let me know that Micheal is getting engaged to his finance Cindy and that if I want to see for myself I should go to the his house that moment

She threw couple of money to my face and asked me to take it and disappear forever and never come close to her son again

I thought she was lying not until I got to Micheals's house and saw him kissing that same girl his mother told me about.

The shock and the disappointment made me cancel the date even without informing Michael

Knock knock!!

I heard a loud knock on my door when I open the door, it was Micheal

“Michael, what are you doing here?” I said

“it’s 8:30 already you didn't come I told you there is something I want to tell you” he said handing over a file to me

“What is this Micheal? I said staring at the files

“I am ending our contract Sophia”

This made me come to the realization that his mother was not lying he already made his choice and he is marrying Cindy

I didn't know what to say I don't want him to be with me for the sake of the baby besides he might collect the baby from me and hold the 10,000,000$ over my head

“Say something Sophia” he tried to force words out of my mouth while I was still in shock.

“ I don't have anything else to say except that I am glad that this is finally over” I spoke up

“Me too” he said

I dropped the papers on the table and started signing them, “I have been waiting for this to end, this is the best thing that has ever happened to me” I said handing over the papers to him.

“Sophia what are you saying?” he said in surprise

“We signed a contract Micheal and you are nothing more than that to me” I said “ so go back to your perfect life with your perfect bride!, Do what your mom says because that is what you are Micheal, you are not a man you are a boy”

“Its rule no 1 right don't fall in love so I followed it so please leave” I yelled at him “leave me alone” I said and I went inside my room

“It's just me now me and my baby” I consoled my self

Its morning already so I had to prepare for work the moment I stepped out of my house to go to the office Theo Micheals driver accosted me saying that Micheal asked him to pick me up for work.

“Theo, I am no longer associated with Micheal” I said

“He said you would say that, he also told me to tell you, you still work for him since you never resigned” Theo said

“Right I am Still his secretary, I followed him to the car and he drove off.

When I got to the office I walked in on Kate, May and Jing talking about Michaels engagement to Cindy and how incapable I was to keep him after w*****g him.

Kate May and Jing are my colleagues in the office, Unlike kate and May who are so aggressive and finds fault in every thing I do Jing is so kind and generous and she always spoke up for me.

As I walked past the trio, I was forced to stop the moment Kate said “ohhh look how the princess has fallen from the tower,I guess spreading your legs can’t get you so far” she said in a mockery voice

“Come on guys Sophia is not like that” jing interfered

“lol I have seen special treatment Mr Micheal have given her ever since she started working here, I have been waiting for this moment for Micheal to kick her out to the street” May said with so much fury on her face

I was done listening to there humiliating word so I turned to leave but Kate intentionally kept a foot across the way and before I could know what was happening I fell flat to the ground

“Oh noo clumsy me” Kate said

“Ewww Look at her ashy gabby knees probably from constantly being down there sucking Micheal’s d**k” May added

“Hey stop, that's not nice! We can’t spread false rumors about colleagues just like that.Sophia tell them! Tell them you are not like that! ” Jing said closely defending and looking out for me

I was so ashamed of myself, I could not say a word. This is why I have to end everything with Micheal so I can have peace.

Kate and May try to hit Jing because she picked sides with me and I stepped in for her to defend her but things got a lot messy when Kate slapped me and pushed me outside while a protest against our neighboring company was going on. I was left outside and the door was shut behind me .

I couldn't see well because the atmosphere was toxicated and filled with gasses and smoke, they threw all manner of items at me and some hit me unapologetically

I was about to pass out when I heard someone screaming my name from the crowd. When I looked and it was micheal I felt some sort of relief and I took a deep breath.

“Move away from her” he ordered

He grabbed my hands and brought me to my feet, he gave me a long hug and a peak on my forehead.

“Now get away from my property or I will call the feds!! Michael ranged in a strict Voice. I don't want to ever set my eyes on you again

He gently carried me to my working desk,immediately kate and may saw me they started pretending like they knew nothing about what happen not until jing spoke up

“Sir kate intentionally pushed out Sophie to the mobbing crowd”Jing Said from her desk

“That's a big lie boss Jing is lying” kate interrupted her

“I am going to ask you one question Sophie” Michael said to me “did kate do this to you

I nodded in acceptance

“Then Kate you are fired” Micheal yelled at her “I have no business with such unprofessional behavior leave my property now !”

My mouth was wide open I never thought Micheal will go to such a length to make such I am fine

“Hope you are alright” he said patting my back

“Everyone get back to work meet me in my office Sophia when you can” he said and left the office
