Brian pov
I wanted to set a date up with my mate. Maybe if i could convince her to stay, she will realize we are truly mates, so i asked mom to set up a picnic in my room,
“Young man, you know what she's been put through, don't you dare.”
“Mom, it's only a picnic, that's all it is, i'm not going to try and anything with herr, we will even leave the door open, i want to try and woo her., i'm not going to try and sleep with her,”
“You better not, let her make those decisions for herself,” she helped me set up a picnic in my room, a large blanket was set on the floor, with a picnic basket in the middle of it, she even had a carpet that looked like grass under the blanket, she had butterflies hanging from the ceiling an i need to remember after this date was done to pull them off of it, i found her walking with no other than f*****g Lacey, what in the h3ll did she try and do now, I asked her and she said everything was okay, that they talked, i found out that Cos and Lacey where true mates, thank the goddess, i hope she will leave me a lone now, Taking Nikki's hand, i lead her back to the castle, I lead her up to my room, she stopped looking at me confused,
“The date is in my room, and no it's not what you think, the bedroom door will stay open until the date is over, and mom will kick my ass if i try anything, She started laughing until i opened the door, i heard her gasped as she walked inside looking around, mom did some more stuff in here, there were candles lit and a recording of birds chirping and my windows were open so the breeze would come inside the room, we walked inside and told her
‘Welcome to my room, we can sit down and i'll get the things out of the basket,” i was hoping to the moon goddess that she liked what we had done to my room, if anything i might just get a kiss from this date, even if it's just a small kiss on my cheek, thats something, though i do wish for more, i can’t force it,
Nikki pov
What am i even thinking being in this guys room, it looks beautiful, i have a feeling he's trying to woo me, sighing i walked inside looking around, there was a carpet that looked like grass underneath a thin blanket, A basket in the middle, it made me wonder whats inside of it, the windows were open, with just three candles lit, they even had butterflies hanging from the wall that i was sure he would pull down as soon as this date was over, soft music with birds chirping was playing, this was just to cute, But what i was looking at was the huge flat screen that was mounted on the wall, he had a king size bed with two dressers, two night stands on either side of the bed, aa desk with a computer on it, with a large couch with a chair on the other side of the room with a coffee table, the room looked really nice, We sat down in the blanket, as he pulled the basket toward us, he pulled out sandwiches, chips and cups of pudding, even a small bottle of doctor pepper with two glasses that was already filled with ice, this was cute, he was trying hard, we sat there and talked about us growing up, i told him a few things that had happened to me, he wasn't very happy with Guss, the only reason why i told him i knew it would had came out sooner or later, so i told him,
“Listen, it's just going to come out sooner or later so that's the reason why i told you, i know he's going to hunt us down soon, it's just a matter of time, i will no longer let anyone hurt me or even put me down, I will fight back,”
“Good, and i will help you train, im proud of you Nikki,” he reached for my hand and i let him hold it, i pretended i didn't feel the sparks, but damn they felt so good, i closed my mind off, i know he has powers, i just didn’t know what kind,
“Can you feel them, Nikki? The sparks of our bond, can you feel them shooting through our bodies,” I wish i could tell him i felt everything, the sparks the emotions that he is feeling right now, but i just can't i even had to block Morgan out so she wouldn't come forward, i didn't trust her right now, Why did he have to ask that i was having such a nice time until he had to ask that and ruined it all, i sucked in a deep breath and let it out, i didn't want to lie to him but right now i needed to,
“I'm sorry Brian, but i don't feel anything, i know you like me and hope that we are mates, my birthday is next week okay, maybe then we will be able to tell, i will admit i like you to, but i'm not making any promises”
‘I can go with that. When you turn of age and shift, you will be able to tell that we are mates. I hope you liked the date we prepared, and enjoyed the food.”
‘Of course I did. i loved all of it, thank you so much,” Before i even knew what i was doing, i reached over and kissed him softly on the lips, when i realized what i did i hurried to get up,
“Thank you for the date Brian, i hope we can do this again soon, i'm going to head up to my room, i'm a little tired,” I rushed out of there quickly back to my room shutting the door behind me, i sat on the edge of the bed with my head in my hands,
You do know they are going to find out about me, and then what are you going to do?”
“I don't know. i just don't know, but the longer i stay here, the more feelings i get for him, and I don't need that right now. Let's leave tonight,”
“Nikki, come on, you said in three weeks next week that it will be three weeks, we have three more days for that, at least let me spend more time with him.”
“Your just horny and want some d**k, i'm not going there, i'm not even ready for that, i'm still healing, we will leave in three days, i just have to figure out how to avoid him,”
“That's going to be hard since you are right next to his room.” she was right, but i can avoid him or try to, three days Morgan and we are gone,
