"Mia, Mia!!", her mother screamed her name from downstairs. Mia jumped off her bed in fear as she thought the assumed ghost was back. Her heart pounded so hard, it felt as if it was trying to escape from her chest.
She ran downstairs still panting. "What's wrong sweetie?", her mother asked with a worried look enveloping her face." I'm just a little stressed, nothing else." "Are you sure, you look tense", her mom said looking more worried. "Like I said, I'm fine, it's nothing." "Well if you say so. Dinner's on the table, I'm going out with some friends. I'll be back before ten." Her mom said closing the door.
"Ugh, coleslaw?! It's the third time this week!" She pushed the dish away, grabbed her keys and went out to get something else to eat. She knew she couldn't do that if her mother was around, but she had to enjoy her freedom.
As she was returning from the store, it came. Powerful gusts of wind tore through the streets, powerful enough to lift a child off the ground, street lights flickering fast, too fast. Any sane person would run at this time but she waited. She was frozen, unsure of what to do.
Then the glitches started. Buildings stuttered like broken screens, clouds taking the same shape. Reality itself was glitching.
At this she started running. She got home safely but fear prevented her from opening the door. Then, it struck. Bright green bolts of lightning scattered across the night sky, causing a blackout. She shouted in fear as she forced the door open. She ran into her room and threw herself on her bed. She cried "Why now, why here...?" she sobbed staring into the darkness. Darkness so thick that it could be felt. She cried and slept off.

At school the next morning, everything seemed off. The hallway was nearly empty, with few people in it.
"This is unusual", she said to herself. "Felicia always waits here." She closed her locker and was about to go to class when she noticed the students gathering at the field. She managed to get through the crowd to see what was going on.
Then it happened, she saw herself walking down the fields.
"What the hell?!"
