What the F_____!?

Mariana Son of a b***h! My head hurts. My entire body felt like it had been hit by a wrecking ball. There was indescribable pain on the right side of my neck. What the hell happened? As the question arose, the memories from the night of the rave resurfaced. “Tonya! Phoenix!” I yelled as I sat up quickly, my feet hitting the floor. So then, as I realized I was in bed, how long I was unconscious. Standing up, my legs soon gave way and I began to fall. “Whoa, beautiful it is now…….. where do you think you’re going?” Firm hands grasped me before I hit the carpeted floor. Helping me to sit back on the bed. The most intoxicating set of green eyes met mine and I was speechless for a second. The woman smiled at me, while still holding me upright. f**k she was tall as I silently checked her out. Damn, she was just my type too, if I wasn’t angry with her at the moment. Who was she to tell me I couldn’t go anywhere? Who was she? Where were Phoenix and Tonya? And where was I? So many questions took over my brain, causing my head to hurt even more. The woman had already guided me back to the bed to sit down and this time she joined me, sitting next to me. The anger in me was slowly rising. What was going on? Something had happened to me, I could feel it. The last thing I remember was the rave. A trip to the restroom turned into an attack on my life. I vaguely remembered Tonya’s call and then dying. Wait! Had I really died? “You aren’t dead Mari.” the woman spoke next to me. Jolting me from the thoughts in my head. Hold up, don’t ask that out loud. Before I knew it, I turned to stare at her with my fist drawn back in rage. I needed to hit something or someone to vent my frustration. If what she said was true. It meant I was never going to escape this life. Mom told me to beware of the blood moon, but I didn’t listen. Now that tragedy struck at the rave. My family's legacy that coursed through my veins had activated. I was worried about Phoenix and Tonya, and also mad at myself. I felt suffocated by the reality of things and before I knew it, the woman in me was fighting. The sudden energy came out of nowhere, and even the pain was gone. It was as if I was a different person as I fought with her. She blocked and dodged all my moves. It was clear that she didn’t want to hurt me. Tears were streaming down my face as I kept attacking, my vision becoming blurred. I staggered a bit and she took her opening. Before I knew it, I was pinned underneath her on the bed. She held my wrists, my arms behind my back. I tried to free myself but, I couldn’t. “Let me go!” I groaned out. The tears wouldn’t stop. My life will never be normal again. Why had this woman helped me? I didn’t want to be a hunter. “Not until you calm down first,” she said as I continued to struggle. Slowly I began to calm down. My tears subsided as my mind began to reason with the inevitable. She slowly released me after confirming I was no longer a danger to myself and her. “Your fighting skills are impressive,” she said, helping me sit up on the bed, as I stared at her in silence. She gave me a small smile, before standing up and opening the door to the room. She took a tray from the person on the other side, closed the door with her foot, and then headed back over to me. I frowned, thinking how she knew someone was there without them knocking. She placed the tray on my lap. Removing the cover from the tray. The aroma of mouthwatering food hit my nostrils. I hadn’t eaten anything since the rave. After our fighting session, I was completely defeated in exhaustion. Getting some food in me would be the best start for gaining my energy back. There were many things I wanted to know and my head needed to be clear for my next steps. She let a sigh as I began to do it. I felt kinda bad for being so hostile towards her, but who wouldn’t be waking up to this kind of situation? She smiled at me once more before retrieving bottled water from a mini-fridge I didn’t even know was there. We sat there in silence, the only sound was of me eating. After I had my fill, she took everything away and then returned to wait for me to start talking rationally. “My name is Alexis, by the way,” she said. “Are you the one who saved me?” “Yes,” she answered. “What are you?” “The same as you, just with a slight kick.” “What does that even mean?” “I ‘ll tell you later.” “Ugh,” I groaned out loud, none of her answers were clear, but I could catch the hint. “Tonya and Phoenix?” “ They are safe, my friends are with them.” “What friends?” “You will know soon enough, but for now you need to recoup.” “Why?” I asked. I feel fine now after the first fight, and eating a meal. Alexis looked at me, her eyes almost hypnotizing me. The way she looked at me was odd, but not alarmingly so. I knew the news wouldn’t be good either way. “Mari, you were bitten, which activated your hunter's blood. The venom from the bite has to clear without any signs of change before you can see your friends.” “What the f**k?! And how long will that take?” “Five days,” she answered. “How long have I been here?” “Three days, but your last two days will be the hardest.” “Then why are you here?” I asked. Wouldn’t she be serving herself on a platter if I couldn’t be around anyone so the change wouldn’t happen? She laughed out loud. It confirmed that she could hear my thoughts. She should be afraid, right? “No, she answered without me asking aloud again. “This is where that bit of kick comes in Mari,” she said right before she kissed me. The most electrifying shock went through me, immobilizing my body of movement, but I could feel everything. Instead of pain, I felt immense pleasure. I knew instantly what her kick was, but she also didn’t have to kiss me either. The kiss was slow, long, languid, and a bit orgasmic. I’m not going to lie at all. I dripped a little bit. Alexis was half succubi, mixed with hunter blood. Every inch of her was lethal if she wanted it to be. My mind was never where, but if the bite was from what I suspected, her succubus abilities were one of the ways to counterattack the change. She let go, her lips leaving mine. I had to stop myself from following her movements because I secretly didn’t want her to stop. Was it her power or hers? She chuckled, but I didn’t care about her reading my mind. I definitely felt something. I began to feel tired, the venom was starting to react. She was putting me in a coma-like sleep, in between dream and reality. I would feel no pain as it wreaked havoc within me. I would hate myself if Tonya and Phoenix were here and I had hurt or killed them. Alexis was right and needed to lie low for now. I knew I would still be different after I woke up in two days. I couldn’t hide from who I was meant to be anymore. “Sleep beautifully,” she whispered as I drifted off to sleep and into Alexis's world. I still didn’t understand why she’d helped me. My family hunted beings like her, but I always felt things were more than what they seemed. Maybe Alexis knew something I didn’t, but I wouldn’t get those answers until two days passed.
