Chapter 1
When the notoriously fierce and domineering Miranda Jones publicly had her father-in-law tied up and whipped inside the manor hall, everyone in high society was convinced that Cedric Green would finally file for divorce this time.
But to everyone's surprise, the very next day, Cedric presented her with gemstones worth hundreds of millions and even gifted her a private island.
The entire social circle was buzzing with speculation.
"Do you think Cedric Green is hiding some terrible secret that Miranda Jones has over him?"
"Maybe she's put some kind of curse on him? Or threatened him?"
That night.
Miranda was pinned against the massive bed in the master bedroom by Cedric. The air was thick with raw desire and burning passion.
His kisses carried an irresistible intensity, as if he intended to consume her completely.
After the third round, Miranda could no longer endure it and finally begged for mercy. "I can't anymore. My whole body feels like it's falling apart."
Cedric rolled onto his side and said softly, "Father probably won't be able to get out of bed for at least half a month."
Miranda nestled herself against his chest. "I really regret not sending him to the police. He cheated on your mother and pushed her into such emotional distress that she nearly took her own life. He deserves to pay for what he did!"
A flicker crossed Cedric's eyes, but he said nothing.
Just as Miranda was about to continue speaking, she lifted her gaze and noticed something on top of the wardrobe directly facing the bed.
A tiny red light blinked silently in the dim darkness.
A hidden miniature camera was pointed directly at the tangled bed.
Her entire body stiffened as if struck by lightning. She pointed toward the wardrobe. "What is that?!"
Cedric paused briefly. "A camera. I recorded videos of us."
That tiny red light pierced into her eyes like a needle.
Before Miranda could react, Cedric calmly continued, "Three months ago, I started supporting a college student. She was obedient and gentle, but she didn't sound as good as you do, so I specifically recorded these videos for her to study."
Slap!
Miranda raised her trembling hand and struck him hard across the face. "You bastard!"
Finger marks instantly appeared on Cedric's face, and the warmth in his eyes disappeared completely.
He grabbed a bedsheet from beside him and tightly bound Miranda's wrists to the headboard. Then he lifted her legs and forcefully claimed her again.
The pain instantly filled Miranda's eyes with tears. A crushing wave of disgust and humiliation surged through her chest.
Miranda struggled desperately, using all her strength to push him away. "Let go of me! Cedric, let me go!"
But against his overwhelming strength, her resistance was meaningless. Her heart grew colder and colder, yet her body trembled uncontrollably.
When it was finally over, Cedric slowly stood up and untied the sheet around her wrists.
Then he looked toward the camera and let out a low laugh. "So? Does Miss Jones sound good?"
To Miranda's horror, a woman's laughter actually came through from the other side. "Very good! I never expected Miss Jones to sound so enchanting..."
Cedric admired the lifeless despair in Miranda's eyes and curled his lips into a smile. "Then you'd better study carefully. Tonight, I'll be listening."
The color drained entirely from Miranda's face as she curled herself up with the last bit of strength she had left.
She had never imagined this was not merely a recording.
It was a live broadcast.
He had actually allowed someone else to watch their most intimate moments.
Those mocking laughs felt like barbed whips tearing apart every ounce of her pride and dignity.
Cedric's phone on the bedside table suddenly vibrated. He casually picked it up and glanced at the screen.
The next second, his pupils contracted sharply, and his throat bobbed anxiously.
"Miranda, as long as you behave, nobody can shake your position as Mrs. Green. I have something urgent to deal with first. Get some rest."
Without even looking at Miranda's devastated state, he turned around and strode out of the room. Not long afterward, the roar of a speeding car echoed from outside.
As Miranda tried to stand, darkness clouded her vision and she collapsed onto the floor. She held onto the bedside for a long time before finally recovering.
The first thing she did afterward was grab the wedding portrait from the bedside table and smash the camera above the wardrobe.
Glass shattered across the floor like her heart breaking into countless pieces.
Miranda had always known how to love deeply, but she also knew how to let go.
From the moment Cedric admitted his betrayal with his own lips, she knew a man like him no longer deserved to stand beside her.
She wanted a divorce.
Miranda pulled out her phone and made a call. "Prepare the divorce papers. I'm going to make him sign them!"
