CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

After class, Jess and I went to the local cinema that she works at. Although it is a local cinema and quite a classic, they obviously still take care of the place and it has become an asset in itself, the rundown classical building.
Jess introduced me to her male manager, who is in. I think he is in his 40s and he’s a bit grumpy but has a good sense of humor. And at first, I was nervous that they might not like me and they might seem to think that I am not fit to work here, especially because I am just new to the Washington area.
But thankfully, less than five minutes after he interviewed me, he hired me for the job. He told me that they don't really need people yet, but he sees that I am hardworking and he thinks I can do the work that he will give me. Lucki
