Dinner with Eric’s parents never been comfortable.
When I arrived at the restaurant, it was immediately obvious from their looks that they were not happy with my presence. But I endured, for Eric. For so many years. I never showed them badly in my behavior, because I didn't want to prove to them that I was just like my parents as they say.
While we were eating, it was obvious that they didn't want to talk to me, they focused more on Eric and that's fine by me, it's okay for them not to talk to me anymore and to avoid all insults from them.
