Hours earlier,
Two days. That was all the Chases and Sonya would get from me. If they didn't tell Jane the truth by then, I would do the honors. It was one day down, one day to go.
Nick would be back by then, and I would've settled the pressing business matter that required my attention both here and in New York. I planned to take the entire weekend off starting Friday to go handle my family matters. I needed to be with my wife and mate.
