Jane POV
Benjamin was my little brother. The only sibling I thought I had my whole life. I was thankful that he'd been away from town and was not part of the drama back in Orphic. He was excited to hear that I was coming to see him.
"Mom called. She wanted to know if I heard from you," he said. "So I'm gonna text and let her know you're alright. She seemed worried. It sounded like she'd been crying or something."
"Do whatever you like," I muttered.
"Good thing you called now. The guys and I are heading to Jamestown in the morning. I was gonna go to Orphic from there. Mom's expecting me this week, remember?"
"Too bad you have to postpone."
"Yeah. I'll catch up with them the day after tomorrow. So you'll be here what, tomorrow evening?"
"Before sunset, I think. I'll leave first thing
