Jake POV
I spent the next two and a half hours combing the entire city in search of Jane and her captor. Richard already had Oak speaking to some of his old friends to find out if they spotted her and the rogue beta in the city. The phone with which the rogue beta spoke to me was also being traced.
At some point, another presence joined me in the search deep in the forests. I was well acquainted with that presence, so I ignored it. He didn’t bother shielding himself from me this time. The Senior and I stayed out of each other’s way as we prowled the city.
