"Yeah, the exact same fur," I repeated.
"That's cool," Nick's said, eyes moving over his mate. "I guess."
Then he reached out and smoothed the fur on Sara’s head. I reminded myself that soon, I would know the pleasure of doing the same to Jane.
The Young Luna purred, her eyes falling half-close as she revelled in her mate's touch. Then she said,
'I wish Jane could've returned with you."
"Me too," I breathed.
'I can not wait to see her.' Her tone grew more excited. 'How incredible it is that she turned out to be Golden Crescent's first daughter.'
Yeah, indeed. Just my f××king luck!
I almost found myself wishing that she wasn't. We'd be together now if she was the simple town girl I first thought her to be. Brushing aside my frustration, I began to head inside.
