Venice Alcen's Point of View
"I don't want to." I am pissed while talking to Jax. We are here in the palace while the party is still going on.
A while ago, he forced me to go to his room.
"Please, babe," Jax begged. "Promise, we'll just talk there," he continued while pouting his lips. The only response he got was my fierce eyes. I tried to escape from his hands, but he held me tighter.
"I don't want to," I whispered to him "And let go of my hand. They're looking at us." My cheeks were already red because of their gazes, especially those vampire women!
"No." He shook his head before he hugged me from behind and placed his chin on my shoulder.
"You might leave me again if I let this hand go." That thing made my cheek turn redder than before. And people were still looking at us!
We were standing at the end of the place, but that doesn't mean we're safe from the eyes of others. Especially to the group of women who were on the other side, they were aggressively staring.
I punched him in the stomach jokingly and threatened. "One, Jax, let go."
"Or we won't go to your room," my flirty brain said. I smirked.
"Or I'll leave you alone?" I just said while giving him a seductive tone.
He let my hand go with a sad expression on his face. He faced me and sighed. "Okay, fine. Just stay by my side. You're not allowed to leave, not allowed to go away without my permission, and wander around when I'm not aware."
I looked at him in disbelief. "Really, Jax? What kind of condition was that?"
"As if I'll trade you with anything!" I stated in my mind.
I placed my hand on my waist and looked at him. "Why? What do you want? That I should only look at you?" He quietly nodded while gazing into my eyes.
It's like he's forcing me to only look at him and only him.
"I don't want to." I cut our gaze and roamed my eyes around the whole place.
"There are lots of cuties here, and I'm not allowed to look? That's impossible." I secretly laughed when his face twitched because of what I had said.
"I'm sick of your face because you're not cute." His whole face turned different.
"What?"
"I said that you're not cute!" I repeated before chuckling.
"Not cute?" he challenged and held both of my cheeks.
"It's not cute because it's called handsome!" He then smiled crazily, leaning his face closer to mine.
I'm not ready, gosh!
My eyes almost squinted. So close! I didn't even have a choice but look at those eyes and praise them.
His vampire's eyes were mesmerizing.
Cut those contacts crap! Why the hell does he have to conceal it in the mortal world? They just missed the chance to see how beautiful his real eyes were.
It was too gentle and transparent that I could find his endless love and care towards someone through those orbs.
"What? Am I too handsome now?" he said, smirking. Gosh! How can his breath still smell great with the mixed scent of his mouthwash and liquor?
I slightly pushed his forehead with my finger. "You're so full of yourself, mister."
"I'm only saying the truth, wifey." He restrained a smile after calling me that.
"Wifey your face!"
"You're my wifey," he suddenly said and I didn't know how to respond.
I just rolled my eyes and tried to change the topic because I feel my cheeks heating up again.
But for a second, he poked my cheek while displaying a huge smile on his face.
"Does this make you happy?" he jokingly asked.
I rolled my eyes and looked away. "It did!" He repeatedly said those things while smiling.
He rested his arms on the wall and looked at me intently. There's thirst showing in it. Hmm.
I slapped his shoulder "Crazy! No, it didn't."
You can't say that it really did. Pity yourself, Val!
"It didn't? Then what's the meaning of your reddish cheeks?" he teased me. I'm still avoiding his gaze, this is embarrassing.
"And you're avoiding my gaze. I know you, Val. Just admit it and I'll marry you right away," he continued. I felt my cheeks turn red.
I was about to say something when a girl vampire waved and walked towards us. "Hi, Jax."
I looked at Jax to see his expression. I want to be jealous when he nodded and he lightly smiled at her. But that jealousy stopped when he wrapped his arms around my shoulder. That jealousy was changed with sudden happiness.
"Hey, Alliah, this is Val," he started, "my fiancée." I was so shocked because I didn't expect him to say it.
The reaction of the girl was shocked. "Oh my gosh, is this for real?"
I pinched Jax's arm. He whispered, "Why?"
I returned my gaze to the girl in front of us. "Don't mind him."
"Okay." The confusion still stayed on her face. She offered her hand. "I'm Alliah from the house of Whisperwind, by the way."
"I'm Venice Alcen from the house of Bloodhoof." My hand almost got shy when our palms touched, hers is way fluffier. Who is this girl, anyway? Is she related to Jax?
I looked at her whole face.
She has hooded eyes with a pair of bloodshot eye color; a perfectly curved, droopy nose; and as red as a rose round lips.
Her posture and the way she dresses are also superb. I think almost half of the visitors were glancing at her.
I feel shy that I'm talking to her right now. "Where did you dye your hair? I love it," she asked. I sensed amazement through her eyes.
It's noticeable that my long and curly hair always caught the attention of others in both my world and the other world.
The color white and silver combination, with my shining skin when it meets the sun just stuns them.
Without a doubt, I stated. "It's natural."
"Wow," she whispered as quietly as she could, but I can still hear it.
Her gaze turned to Jax who's like my proud father because of her praises.
"Jax, can I borrow her for a while?" she asked while smiling. Wow, even her smile is gorgeous, too.
I smirked at Jax when that girl wanted me to come with her.
It looks like I'll wander for a while, baby.
He pulled me close to him before turning to Alliah. "Jax," I softly called him.
He just looked at me like a begging cat.
"It's just for a while, Jax. I'll just introduce her to Jackie," Alliah said, trying to convince Jax.
Jax had no choice but to let me go. "I'll be back, promise."
He groaned. "Alright, but I'll sit near your table so you can't flirt with the boys over there. I'm watching you."
I nodded before leaning closer to his ear and whispered, "Ready your room, daddy." I teased him and left him laughing.
