Jasmine POV
“Jasmine.” I stirred as I heard my name, like a whisper in the wind.
I felt different. I couldn’t place my finger on exactly what was different, but I felt it. Maybe it was my imagination, but I felt… stronger? I think my hearing was better. The crackling of the fire was deafening in my ear.
The fire. My eyes flew open as I looked around me. I was lying in the middle of a room that was completely engulfed in flames. I quickly sat up, confused by what I was seeing. I should be dead. Burnt to a crisp and completely unrecognizable. How is this possible?!
