Into the sun

~Kristens POV~ I woke up to my father beating on my door. "Wake up! I need you down stairs dressed now!" I got out of bed hastily threw on some ripped black pants and one of my dressier tops. The alpha doesn't wake me up like this often, but when he does there's someone important down on the main floor of the pack house. I quickly ran a brush through my long blonde hair and put it into a French braid. I then washed my face and made sure I was presentable as my dad likes to call it. as I was walking out of the bathroom I noticed it was still pitch black out, no birds, no stars, no moon just pure black. I opened the door puzzled as to why they woke me up so early. As I got closer to the bottom of the stairs I heard an unfamiliar voice, I stopped in my tracks over hearing a part of the conversation. "Yes, I assure you she will be ready by tomarrow" I went ahead and finished my decent into the unknown. The first room I come to is the kitchen and the voices are louder I can't quite tell who the second voice is. I slow down just as they start to quiet there voices, they had to have heard me. I stop just before I enter the room. "Kristen, come in here please." he says more polite than normal. I slowly walked into the room and my dad smiles and motions for me to sit beside him. The man across from him gave me a smirk that seemed cold and foreboding. Before I had even sat down he stared talking. "Kristen, as you know your 18th birthday is tomorrow, and you will not be celebrating here." I started to object but he cut me off. " tomorrow morning you will be taken to the Red mountain pack to meet your new husband, im sure you will have questions but now is not the time" I didn't even have time to process what he had said before he told me to go to the kitchen and begin working on breakfast for the pack. Threw the window I could see the sun finally peaking over the trees, I went back up to my room and grabbed my phone off of the table by my bed, and texted Abby my best friend. *We need to meet as soon as possible, im freaking out!* It was just now 6 am and I had to get down stairs I had a lot of food to make before 7 when breakfast was held. Some other wolves came in about this time to assist me, they started on cooking while I was cutting fresh fruits, when my dad walked in. "Be sure to make it extra special, I have an announcement to make" he says before signaling me to follow him. "Now I know you have questions, but this is happening it's the only thing that will strengthen our bonds with the red mountain pack" he said sternly "if you dont do this, they have threatened to end our pack, Kristen do you understand?"
