428 Words
“Urgh, that damned car again” Stella covers her head with her pillow. “He’s here again but why so early?!” That darned neighbor.  That noisy car was owned by the next door neighbor, Mark Tevens. He’s the oldest anong the Teven’s family of 5. All 3 childeren were male. She, Stella Rose, grew up next door to them at the Capital Townhouse. It’s shaped as a cross and they were at lovated at the left annex. It was a small townhouse and almost everyone knew each other. Sharing of food was normal here and most kids grew up with each other.  Mark was older than Stella, so she wasnt really close to him. But Stella’s brother, Troy, was close to Mark’s brothers, Ryan and Rence, were super  close friends. Plus their parents were also close in a way. They were nice enough neighbors.  Stella’s bedroom was located at the second floor, and it was adjacent to Mark’s room. Sometimes she’d see girls climbing up the railing to get to Mark’s room and sometimes Mark would see Stella slipping in and out their house. Those were their little secrets.  But now, that bedroom is not occupied anymore. Mark has been married for two years to Haze. They live across town. So he seldoms come home, unless it was Sunday for family day or birthdays.  It was sunday today and Ryan’s birthday. He was here with Haze to celebrate with family. They’ve been married for two years but both have no plans on having children, well, he was only 31 and she was 29. Still young they said.  “Stella! Hurry up! We’re invited to have lunch at the Teven’s house! Wake up and get dressed” Stella’s mom, Melissa shouted.  “We’ll go ahead first okay” she beckoned Stella. She knew it’ll be a while for Stella to get ready.  Stella stands up, and goes to the bathroom. She takes a quick shower, brushes her teeth and puts on some light make-up. Brows, cheeks and liptint.”Maybe some cheek tint” she thinks about it.  “Now what to wear” Stella muses around in her underwear. “Maybe, rompers?”  Finding this cute sunflower rompers, she proceeds to dress and she paired it with slippers. “It’s only the neighbors anyway” she thinks. “No need to dress up”  Finally, a spritz of cologne and she looks to the window.  “Oh crap, it was open. The curtains were open too” shocked Stella hurriedly closes it “No one saw me right?”  “Yeah, no one did” she decided.  She closes her room, runs down the stairs and gets the keys. She locks the door and proceeds to close their house to go the Teven’s house for lunch.
