The Human Bride

She stood up in the cage in which she was kept and lived for the last ten years. The only time she was free was for her lessons and to help with housework. Her cage was dark and dank, it was twelve foot long by ten foot tall and six foot tall, luckily for her she was quite short, only five foot five inches, in the far right corner there was a bed with thin sheets that she had since the began living in the administration and a pot in the left corner so she can empty herself. Rosalind was being taught to be a feeder pet or also know as a blood pet. But today was her 14th birthday, all women who have started their menstrual cycle have their blood test to see if they have the chemical RH228. Rosie didn’t want to have, she heard stories about girls being chained to beds and being impregnated by vampires and it disgusted her. She hated the thought of it being used and then being drank dry. Her worst fear was the fact that regardless she would never be able to raise her child or children. Rosie heard footsteps coming towards her. She then saw Mikhail. He was a vampire, one of the guards who regularly came to give her food or to collect her for a lesson. He was tall and muscular, with short dark hair and milky brown eyes, “Come on Rose, lets’ go,” Mikhail said unlocking her cage “Um ... Mikhail how long is this is going to take I mean when will I find out?” Rosie asked she was nervous. Mikhail stopped and cupped her face in his hands “Regardless of what happens, you will be treated well” he said and then released her and continue walking. She wrinkled her nose in confusion what the hell is he on about? what does he know that I don’t. They entered through a large set of double doors. The room was white and sterile, Rosie began to shake. “Thank you, Mikhail” a doctor in a white lab coat said. He brought me over to a chair and sat me on top of it, “lay down” the doctor ordered. He then strapped an elastic band on Rosies’ upper arm and tightened it to the point Rosalind winced in pain, the doctor genitally began to tap the pale crook of her elbow. The doctor turned toward the metal tool stand next to him and picked up a needle and then inserted it into the protruding blue vein on her arm. Rosie clenched her jaw as the needle entered her skin, she watched as the doctor attached a tube to the end of the needle. He removed the tube and the needle, he placed an orange top on the precious tube of blood and disposed of the needle in a yellow bin. The doctor then turned back to Rosie and removed the elastic band from her arm. Rosie looked at her upper arm and notice that the elastic had left an indent in her skin and then the doctor said “give me half an hour and I will be back with results” Rosie nodded and then hopped off the chair walking back to Mikhail, who just turned and walked in the direction they came from. *** Rosie began to cry she didn’t want this, she was contempt with being a feeder pet. She never in a million years wanted to be a breeder pet, she had been thankful for the life she had been granted. To Rosie the prospect of being given to a male vampire who would chain her to a bed and r**e her for the rest of her life to give him children of which she would never see again after they were born. Rosie felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned and found Mikhail stood behind her. She wrapped her small pale arms around his torso hard and sobbed into his chest. Mikhail was the first vampire she had ever met, at the age of six, that had ever been nice to her. He read her bedtime stories, played games with her, taught her how to read and write. Mikhail had managed to gain her trust and slowly became the only person she would talk to. “Rose, I will be by your side regardless of where you go or who you are chosen for, always and forever Rosie” Mikhail whispered and then kissed the top of her head. Mikhail release the young girl and brought her out of her cage and then picked her up and carried her to the big hall and sat her down. Rosalind looked up at her friend with big teary green eyes and then said “the doctor told me that my RH228 was abnormally high for a human, what’s going to happen to me, Mika?” “What was the percentage, Rosie?” He asked looking away from the small frightened girl who was trembling before him “84.6 percent,” she said in a meek tone. Mikhail grunted angrily “What Mika? Is that a bad thing?” “Not if I can help it, I need to ring Natasha, okay? I will be back. I promise Rosie do not move!” he said and left.
