LAUREEN'S POV
I sat on the corridor seats with Lyssa and Mrs Treasure at different corners. They had been confused when they saw me approaching, and I knew what was on their minds. They were worried that I had left my mom on her own inside the room.
“Laura. She came around and mom wanted to speak with her.” I told them, and they nodded, but Lyssa seemed uncomfortable as she came to sit beside me after a few minutes.
" Is it okay to leave them alone together?” She asked in a whisper and I turned to look at her.
" Why? Why would you ask that?” I asked her and she shrugged.
" Nothing really, I'm just worried. I don't know.” She said and really seemed disturbed and distracted.
