The thick plunder of snow only arrived more turbulently as it thrashed past me. Morsels of the wet residue stuck to my reddened face, they felt like minute icicles rather than water. The cold was nipping away my body, externally and internally that every step felt numb and lifeless.
The coldness had also numbed away at the melancholy caused by the loss of Andrea. It hadn’t made me forget about her though rather my emotions had died down, that now saving Andrea felt more like a duty to uphold.
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
Before, I had been bothered by it but now the sound was on repeat in my head while I zoned out.
