(Max’s pov)
With a sudden thud, Andrea’s head hit the floor. She lay silently and dead still.
Her long, wavy hair cascaded along the dark ebony planks as it shone, reflecting the same light hitting it. Her eyes, once glancing around the room in confusion, weaved shut as her lips remained pursed tightly.
Angered and anxious, I froze scanning her body.
Shortly, I snapped out of it falling to my knees calling Andrea’s name, repetitively. After receiving no response, I pressed my fingers against her skin, rushing to discover a pulse.
When I pick up the faint thrum of her pulse, I move my fingers away.
Glancing back up, I noticed Dwarface standing to the side of her. Flinging out my sword, I move in front of Andrea, shielding her with my body. Then I shift my sword so it sits inches away
