'Get out of this house this very second, you ungrateful child! 'We took you in, clothed and fed you for nineteen whole years and this is how you repay us' screamed Anna.

'Grandma, you know I'm forever grateful for all you have done for me but asking me to marry for the sake of the family business is a bit too much'.

'How exactly is what I asked for too much, we brought you and your mother out of your slum and took care of you and you have the audacity to say that our request is too much'

Clare's pov

I had always known that these people don't love me but the thought of them sending me off to marriage as a scapegoat never crossed my mind. They wanted me to marry a total stranger all because my step sister rejected him.

'Mathew get this stupid girl out of here this very minute' said Anna

'Grandma please don't do this to me' I pleaded while being dragged out of the house by my grandma's loyal lapdog, Mathew.

Bang! She heartlessly shut the door at my face. It's 11pm where the hell does she expect me to sleep. I'm so tired of these people. Who do I call now, oh let me call Emily.

'Hey Emmy, please can I come sleep over at your place?'

"What happened" asked Emily

'I will tell you about it when I get to your place'.

"Okay b, should I come pick you up?"

'Thanks for the offer but I will come by myself'

"Ok, be safe"

I now have to deal with finding a taxi by this time of the night. I can do this!
