It's been three months since I left home. Emily told me that my grandma has been going crazy looking for me as the deadline given to her draws close. She definitely deserves that. I don't have much regrets leaving home but I sure do miss my mum. I wonder what has been going through her mind all this while. I guess I'm a bad daughter for abandoning my mum but I had no choice. I didn't let her in on the plan for her safety. I also miss going to school to learn and be better. School was my comfort zone back then and my grandma wants me to throw that away for a marriage to a man I didn't know s**t about. Not gonna happen. 'Good morning Clare' greeted Lily 'Morning Lily' 'A penny for your thoughts?' 'Lol, make it fifty bucks', I said as both of us burst out laughing. 'I guess you're off to school' 'Yep, I gotta get some stuff done' 'Okay, have a great day' I say as she dashes out of the door to catch a cab. I guess it's time to leave for work too. I'm about to grab my handbag when my phone rings. 'Clare please come back home' I hear Emily's sobbing voice over the phone 'What's wrong Emmy' 'It's my dad'
