Chapter 30Sean stood and reached for his jacket on the chair. “Time to pick the girls up from school.” “How about I come with you?” He looked surprised. “Of course, if you're ready.” Georgia jumped out of her chair and headed to the hall closet before she changed her mind. “Just need to get my coat.” “I meant ready to face everyone at the school.” “It's been six weeks. The girls need me to get more involved in their lives. It's time.” He gave her a big smile. “Okay. Let's go.” They walked down the street holding hands. The school was a mere block away. To Georgia's thinking, they reached it all too fast. Other mothers were standing in groups talking as they moved onto the school grounds.
