Lucas' POV
I woke up with a smile on my face. Luna and I were finally together. It felt like a dream that I never wanted to wake from. I reached my arm out to find her on the bed. I was surprised to feel no one beside me. I opened my eyes to discover that Luna was not in bed with me.
I got up to search for her, wondering if she had found her way to the kitchen. She was nowhere to be found. My heart began to pound and I wondered if I had done something wrong. Why would she leave without saying goodbye?
I retrieved my phone from the nightstand and attempted to call her. No answer. In fact, it was going straight to voicemail.
