I'll admit, part of me is scared, but then another part of me does wonder how the undercity has changed. There have been no reports that would suggest they are disturbing the world above anymore. And yeah, the demon who rules the area, as he is, has always been one to keep his word. But in the end, he is a demon, and they are tricky creatures.
Caleb grabbed my hand as we walked with his parents. Zane and Alex also kept close to Sage as this current city, well, it held a lot of bad history for them too. But we all needed to do this. We needed to help Skye as well as the fae realm. For the human realm, although separate, still needs the fae realm to survive. If one is to go into darkness, ultimately, they both will in the end.
Caleb rubbed his thumb against my hand as he held it.
