"So how is your mother taking things?" Finn questions me once he was off work.

"Mother is resting in the other guest room. She is still passed out cold" I giggle.

"Oh no! That is not good" sighs Finn.

"At least she knows the truth now" I tell Finn. He nods.

"Welcome home by the way" I say cheerfully. I pull him inside my embrace. He sighs happily as I hold him.

"I love you. Everyday this makes it all worthwhile to come home to" he vows to me making me melt inside. I pull him as close as I can to my body.

"I love you too Finn" I say softly as I run my fingers along the nap of his neck in his soft hair. He kisses my neck. Then pulls me back to gaze into my eyes. He smiles. He leans down and kisses me.

"Sugar is your Mom awake yet?" Gram asks me as she interrupts our little moment.

"Not yet" I giggle.

"Better go check on her" she grumbles.

"No let me" Finn offers.

"She hates you. No" I stop him from going in.

"It is time for peace. Our families will join. It is going to be time" he reminds me. I nod. He was right. He takes my hand into his. He leads me into the room were my mother was resting.

"Mother? Mom?" I say softly as I gently shake her shoulder.

"Sydney?" she yawns as she comes to at last. She sees Finn looking down at her. Her eyes grow wide. She sits up. "You! I know what you are! You are a...you were a..."

"A merman?" Finn chuckles. She nods.

"It is true then? I was not dreaming?" she sighs.

"Mother would you like to go back and talk to Crystal again?" I ask her.

"No, no! I believe you both" she sighs. "It is just a lot to take in. And I guess my mother was not CRAZY. Am I crazy?" she laughs out loud. Here we go again.

"No mother. You are not crazy" I sigh as I sit beside her on the bed. Gram comes in bringing her some hot tea.

"Hey how are you?" Gram asks her.

"How can you do that?" mother asks her.

"Do what?" Gram wonders.

"Be so nice to me....after I have...."

"Been not so nice?" Gram asks with a smile. Mother nods.

"Exactly" mother sighs.

"Well you are my flesh and blood. I love you" Gram tells her as she hands her the tea.

"I am sorry for calling you...well crazy. How did you guys find Finn?" mother wants to know.

"Finn got caught by a nasty sea man. I helped him escape. Then he returned the favor by saving my lovely granddaughter in more ways than one might I add" Gram tells her with a grin.

"Mother, we want to get married because we thought we could never be together. We fell in love when Finn lived in the sea. It was kind of a long distant relationship I guess you might say. I loved Finn from the start. He loves me. I know Dad hurt you. I am sorry. But I feel Finn will never hurt me. He loves me. Will you accept this wedding?" I demand to know at last. Finn holds my hand in his. He smiles over at me as we wait for my mother's answer.

She nods yes.

"Yes I will accept it. I was upset. So much has changed in my life. I lost your Dad. I am losing you.." mother stifles back a sob.

"Mother...is that what this is really all about? You are afraid of being alone? Mother you are never truly alone. We all love you. I know I have not said this a lot in my past like I should have. We don't always see eye to eye, but I love you Mom. With all my heart. Do you think Finn's family was happy he left the sea? He was supposed to rule a kingdom. He left it all for me. So we can be together" I explain as I smile at her.

"When did you grow up?" she sighs as Finn hands her a tissue to blow her nose on.

"I had a long time ago Mother. I really want you at our wedding" I beg her.

"I will be there" she laughs as she dries her tears.

"If you are lonely why not move down here with us all? Come back home?" Gram asks her.

"I don't know. Let me think about it" mother tells her.

"I love having you here" Gram tells her as she hugs mother. Finn was looking out the window at something. I was not sure what he saw.

"Finn what is it?" I ask him with worry.

"Hang on. I am not sure" he tells me. He rushes over to the window to get a better look. Gram joins him.

"Is that your kinfolk?" Gram asks suddenly. I rush to their side. I see a merman. A young one in the waters heading our way.

"That would be my little brother Hudson. He must have come when he heard I was getting married. He is always getting into trouble" groans Finn. He grabs me by the hand. He leads me to the beach outside where Hudson was swimming. We run along the beach together. Mother and Gram were following close behind us. Finn waves to Hudson.

"It is a merman" I hear mother gasp as she shakes her head.

"Yes mother" I sigh.

"FINN!" calls out Hudson. He was pretty handsome like my Finn. They looked so much alike.

"Hello brother! When did you come in?" laughs Finn happily as he makes his way to the water's edge.

"I heard from Crystal you were human? IT is true" he laughs as he looks over at Finn's legs.

"True love's spell worked bro" he chuckles.

"It figures" sighs Hudson.

"What does he mean by that Finn?" I ask Finn.

"He was wanting to be the one to turn human. He tries to go after the ladies. But my little brother needs to learn about true love before he can catch it" chuckles Finn.

"So Finn, who is your lovely bride to be? Are you going to introduce me?" asks Hudson as he smiles my way.

"Hudson this is Sydney. My future bride to be" he tells Hudson with pride.

"She is lovely. I can see why Crystal had been so scorned about you" laughs Hudson.

"That is water under the bridge" I tell him. "Crystal and I are friends now" I tell him.

"I know that" he replies.

"So brother of mine. Will you be coming to the wedding?" wonders Finn.

"How can I? I have no legs" jokes Hudson.

"We plan on having the wedding here by the sea so Finn's family can attend" I explain to him.

"Then sure. Count me in" agrees Hudson.

"Brother of mine do me one thing before I go?" asks Finn.

"What is that?" Hudson asks.

"Make sure not to get in trouble while you are here? I can not save you this time" warns Finn.

"You have my word brother" Hudson replies.

"I doubt it. But it is good to see you little brother" Finn replies with a grin on his face. The wedding was going to happen! Finn's family was coming in! Mother accepted this! And Finn! My dreams were coming true at last!!
