I sat on the couch on my Grandmother's living room going over the ads in the paper. I wanted to get a job here soon. Finn was the only one of us working at the moment. I just could not let my handsome fiancé pay for everything in our wedding. I wanted to buy his wedding band to. I wanted to be of service to Finn.

"Sydney I have something I would like to give to you. I have been saving it for sometime here now. Your mother never wanted to use it. But maybe you can put this old thing to good use" my Grandmother says as she joins my side. Finn was at work. I was counting away the hours until he got off. Charlotte was planning on picking Finn up from work on her way home from her job which was sweet of her to do.

"Gram what is it?" I ask curiously as I get up and follow her to her bedroom. Her dog Risgby followed at our feet following us. I soon spot what she was telling me about. There laying on the bed was an old fashioned beautiful lacy wedding dress. I loved it!

"This was my dress I wore back when I married your Grandpa. Your Mother never did want to wear it in her wedding. She told me it was her wedding her way and I had no say so in the matter. I just was trying to help but I guess she did not see things that way" sighs Grandma as she smiles sadly at me.

"I would be thrilled to wear this Gram! I love it!" I squeal as I hug her joyfully. I was happy to have her in my corner. I was sure going to need all the support I could get when it came to dealing with Mother.

"Your not just saying that to spare my feelings are you now?" jokes Grandma.

"No Gram! I love this! May I try it on now? While Finn is not at home to see me in it?" I beg her. She nods yes.

"Go for it!" she tells me happily. I nod as I rush to the bathroom with the beautiful gown in my hands. A wedding dress. The handsome groom. It was all a dream come true for me.

Quickly I change into the gown. Lucky for me it was a perfect fit for me to! I look down at the dress. It was so pretty! It made me feel like Cinderella who was about to go to the ball with her handsome prince at any given moment!

"Sydney? Is everything alright? Did you change your mind about the dress?" worries Grandma.

"Oh not at all! Gram look! It's a perfect fit for me!" I exclaimed as I come out in the bathroom wearing her dress.

"Sydney you look breath taking dear" she promises me with a smile.

"This...this is my dress. I feel it like they say on the show! Oh Gram thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I exclaimed as I hug her. She laughs as she hugs me.

"I never thought you would get married after the wreck you witnessed your parents in. But I know Finn makes you happy and for that I know you two will make it" Grandma tells me as we hug. I feel happy tears come to me.

"Sydney? Are you home? I thought I heard you guys talking back here, I'm home now! Charlotte just dropped me off!" Finn says cheerfully as he goes to come join us in the bedroom. I gasp knowing he could see me in the dress and that would mean bad luck for our wedding! Grandma shuts the door in poor Finn's face as I rush to the bathroom before he could see me in the dress.

"Hey what was that for?!" Finn wonders.

"Sorry doll. Give her a minute okay?" Grandma demands to Finn.

"Sure. Sorry I bothered you both" I hear him say. I groan. We hurt his feelings without meaning to. Finn was a sensitive soul. Another reason why I fell in love with the man. I quickly change then head out into the room there.

"Gram where did he go?" I ask.

"Out on the beach for a walk" she tells me. I nod then rush to find Finn. I find him sitting in the sand gazing at the ocean. Did he miss the ocean? Being a merman? I could not help but wonder if he was missing his old life at all. He gave up so much just so he could be with me!

"Finn?" I call out. He looks over at me then smiles sadly. "I am sorry about that! Gram gave me her old wedding dress. I did not want you to see me in the dress" I explain to him as I wrap my arms around his neck. I lean down then kiss him gently. Reminding him how much love I had for this very man.

"If I ever do bother you feel free to tell me. I don't want to be in your way!" he worries.

"You are never in my way! I am so happy you are home now!" I promise him.

"I'm sorry for being a downer here. You know I have merman skills somewhat then a mix of these new human emotions I'm dealing with" he sighs.

"Finn you know you can always talk to me about any of this right? That's why we are lucky to have each other" I remind him. He nods. Then smiles my way. That knock out smile of his always got to my heart every time. I lean in then kiss him with all the passion I have for him inside of me. I knock him over in the sand as our kisses grow deeper for one another. He smiles then rolls me over so he is on top. So romantic being here on the beach, the sunsets as he kisses me. My arms find their way around his neck as he holds me close.

"I love you Finn. I can't wait to marry you! Everything is falling into place for us! The date the place! Now I have a dress! Oh Finn, I can hardly wait to show the world I'm yours for a lifetime not just a moment" I vow to Finn. He smiles happily at me.

"We are meant to be together. Nothing can keep me from you. Not the ocean,not even family will part us. You have my heart. My soul belongs to yours and yours alone!" Finn promises me. He smiles at me making my heart fill with joy only for him inside of me. He kisses me as he does he has a way of making all my troubles seem far away.
