Jacob moves to the side of the door, so the scene where Kurt and Marga are sitting on the floor, playing with the toy car, becomes visible to my sight.

“So, you were saying?” Jacob whispered to my ears.

“Huh? Well- I’ve been knocking, but you’re not answering, so I thought-”

“You thought what?” Jacob cut my remarks while giving me a weird look.

“I thought nothing! Anyway, the dinner is ready so mom asked me to call you and Marga,” I responded while avoiding Jacob’s eyes.

“Marga, my mom's dishes are the best in the entire city. I’m sure you will love it!” Kurt stated while standing up.

“The main reason I decided to visit this town is the food,” Marga responded as she held Kurt in his hand, and together, they left the room.

Seeing them leave, I also make my way to go out, but Jacob gram my arms before I can take a step.

“Wait, I told you earlier we were not done talking,” Jacob uttered as he pulled me closer.

“Jacob!” I exclaimed, looking at the door. I’m afraid Marga and Kurt will come back and see Jacob and me being intimate with each other.

“What? I’m not doing anything...yet!” Jacob responds, let go of me and walk to the drawer.

“Then what do you want? If you ask about the mate or bond thing, my answer is still no! I will never accept you as my mate!” I stated and looked at the floor.

“Scarlett, you can’t escape the bond between mates. But since I just arrived, let’s not talk about that first. I’m not in a hurry to be mated,” Jacob responded as he walked closer to me with a box in his hand.

“What is this? You just said you’re not in a hurry. Why are you giving me a ring?” I asked, as my eyes widened. Although I hadn’t seen the contents of the box, I assumed it was a ring, so I urgently returned it to Jacob.

“Ha Ha Ha, Scarlett Snow ... Please open the box first, so you can see that it’s not a ring,” Jacob said, unable to hide his amusement.

It forced me to open the little box, and I was embarrassed to see its contents. I blushed while pulling out the necklace.

“Like it? Kurt told me you watch the moon every night. So I gave you your moon,” Jacob uttered. He took the necklace and put it on me.

I was speechless because I didn’t expect that Jacob would waste time buying gifts for me since we’re not close, or rather say we never talk. Because we never really had a chance to get to know each other, I didn’t expect him to remember me at all.

“Let me clear one thing! This is a gift from a brother to his sister?” I murmured while holding the pendant.

“Why, do you want to get a gift coming from your mate? Are you ready?” Jacob answered with a meaningful look.

“What gift are you talking about? I’m just asking-”

“Hmm, prepare yourself first. Your mate’s gift will hurt you, but it can also give you pleasure,” Jacob whispered.

All my blood rushed to my head as my eyes narrowed. I was not born yesterday to not understand what Jacob meant.

“Jacob Hale! I’ll kill you!” I screamed furiously.

“Ha Ha Ha! Kurt did not lie when he said you're the best to piss!” Jacob stated as he ran away from me.

“Maybe that little devil didn’t mention to you what I was doing once I caught him!” I exclaimed while chasing him.

Jacob seemed to enjoy our little play, and so did I. Perhaps this is the reason why finding mates is the most essential thing in our race.

“Your right, Kurt didn’t mention what you were doing once you caught him ... So what will you do?” Kurt asked as he stopped running and turned to me.

With Jacob’s sudden stop, I could no longer avoid him. I’m sure I'd be blown away once I hit him ... That is why I just closed my eyes and waited for my head to bleed. But that did not happen ...

“Scarlett Snow, your scent is driving me crazy.” Jacob’s husky voice gave me a chill.

But the crucial part is me being on his top while Jacob’s arms wrap around me. Jacob’s hot breath blew in my neck, giving me a strange tickle.

And the worse part is, I can’t move my body away from him…

“Jacob ... I-“My words seemed lost, so I just sat down to get away from Jacob’s face, which was only a few inches away.

(Scarlett Snow! Restrain your heart! Jacob can hear your pulsation!) I uttered to myself. And because I was busy with my feelings, I didn’t think about where I was sitting.

“Is this one of your punishments? Because it’s working, right now you’re torturing me!” Jacob remarks.

And it was only then that I realized our position, me sitting on his hardness while my hand was on his abs, which appeared because of the slipping of his shirt.

“Oh, my god! I’m sorry!” Blushing, I moved quickly to stand up. But with my sudden action, I felt his arousal getting bigger.

“This play is dangerous, little Scarlett,” Jacob affirmed.

And it was too late for me to react or understand what he meant. All I know is I was on the bottom while Jacob was on my top. He changed our position that easily!

“Hey, what are you doing? It was an accident,” I tried to reason out while pushing him away. But I know that my push is too weak until my hands stop moving.

“Perhaps I can give you a minor example of how I plan to punish you if you take offense towards me,” Jacob said while focusing his gaze on my lips. He did not hide the lust which was clearly reflected in his eyes. But instead of being scared, I felt excitement.

(Damn you, Scarlett Snow! Why are you not doing anything? Why are you waiting to taste his lips!) My mind screamed, but my body remained frozen.... waiting for his kiss.
