Stephanie's request unsettled me.
When I approached her with the intention of letting her know I was willing to help her in her relationship with my son, I wanted her to feel supported by me, to consider me among her allies, and to be able to confide in me about any issues she might have detected regarding the proper celebration of her wedding to Alessandro.
