Salvatore
I silently hoped that Maddie would not do anything silly to Ciara as I drove my way to school. The road was completely free and a blue bike trailed behind me all through as I made turns.
Well...
We might be going the same direction.
I made another turned and almost jumped out of the car when I saw the bike behind me. I decided to take make another turn but the traffic lights turned red, making the bike stop right behind me. I decided to take a photo of the plate number, incase the bike rider was up to something.
Nothing?!
No plate number?!
The traffic light finally turned green and I made another turn, I looked at the up mirror to check for the bike and sighed in relief when I found out that he was not there.
I thought I was just over thinking things. I was sure that lunch time was almost over. I silently prayed that Ciara was okay.
If Maddie does anything to her...
"Castillo!" someone called. I turned to look at who it was. A black boy approached me. I thought his name was Dan. Yeah, that's right Dan! A football player here in the school.
"Hey!" I replied trying to hide my impatience.
"I don't know if you're in time but your psycho girlfriend is kind of creating a scene in the cafeteria." He said and I felt my ears going red.
Quickly I ran to the cafeteria hoping that Mr Seth won't come in view. Maddie was standing on a table, holding a speaker.
"He picked her up after school yesterday to his house and drove he back home at night. More shocking, she kissed him goodbye when got to his house. Who knew that Miss Anti social could go four hours hours?" I heard her horrible voice booming out.
How the f**k is Shanya her sister?
I walked in with the hope of Finding Ciara first. I hoped that she was okay. As soon as I sighted Ciara, I could not help but to speak up.
"Shut the f**k up!" I shouted and silence followed.
Hey, hey y'all can talk, I was talking to the b***h.
"Look, who here," She said, breaking the amazing silence.
Who asked you to talk?
"I'll love to be your apprentice, teach me how to make anti-social girls spend a day in my bed!" Sam shouted from his table and his friend roared in laughter. They are one of the people I could not stand in this school.
"You're the man, Sal!" Chris, one of the guys in Sam's group, said.
Okay now everyone shut up!!
I felt my reflexes pulling me to knock them off but I spoke instead.
"I said shut the f**k up all of you!" I said and everyone seemed to listen.
Yeah, that's right. All of you!
"Maddie and I are not a thing. Who I kiss is none of y'all business. Moreover, who I drive to my house and the time they leave is also none of y'all business. If I hear another another word about this you're gonna be in big trouble!" I fired at them. I know they didn't deserve an explanation but I couldn't watch them talk about Ciara that way.
Right after speaking, I walked up Ciara two tables away from Maddie. The poor girl was two tables away from the b***h. Her face was pale and blood drained. She sat on a spot watched the table. She looked numb and transfixed while Shanya stood there comforting her.
Oh crap. I wished I had stopped this from happening. It was all my fault. Horrible would be an understatement of how I felt right then.
I ran up to her table, ignoring the silly mumbles I could hear.
"Hey, are you okay?" I said as soon. As I got to her. I took her hand in mine and rubbed gently. Her eyes moved from the table and landed in mine. Her emerald eyes were stunning.
"Sal?" She choked.
"Thank goodness she spoke. I think we should take her to the clinic. She has not spoken a word since Maddie told every one about her mom," Shanya said, still rubbing her friends shoulders.
Mom?
"Her mom?' I asked aloud. What happened to her mom?
"Oh! You missed it. I'll tell you later. Let's take her first," she suggested and I nodded. She didn't look good a bit.
"Nah, I'm good. Just a moment," Clara said to the surprise of Shanya and I.
"Listen here Maddie!!" Clara screamed as she stood.
Oh God!
"I don't know where you get your information from, but I assure you that they are not reliable," Ciara spat and started her way out of the cafeteria.
"Let's all believe the slut!!" Maddie replied and a roar of laughter followed.
"I wanna make this official!" I said and walked up to Maddie. I took the speaker from het and turned to face everyone.
"Maddie and I are not a thing,"
"You ass-"
"Y'all should learn to mind your business, I'm pretty sure most of you face family challenges worse than hers, by the way, Ciara is..." I paused to look at her, but she was no where in sight. "Ciara is an amazing person but she is always busy, that's why she barely relate with you guys. For the short period of time I've known her, I know she is not someone who deserves something like this and you all should be ashamed of yourself. Someone comes to my house to babysit my sister and leaves late, and... I kissed her without her consent now turns her to a slut? You know what? I want only the perfect person here to talk because none of y'all is as good hearted and amazing as Ciara Is. Lastly, Maddie, get ready to get in trouble with Mr Seth even if that means getting me suspended again. You shouldn't pry into someone's family issue," with that, I walked out the cafeteria to search for Ciara. After and unsuccessful search, I called Shanya.
"Where are you?"
"Restroom"
"How is she?"
"She wants to go home"
"Home? Why?"
"I don't know, but she seems damn serious"
"Alright, I'll be in the parking lot," I said and hung up. In a twinkle of an eye, I saw them approaching. Together, we walked to the blue SUV that I drove there.
"Hey," I called at Ciara as the fastened her seatbelt. Shanya had gone back to class and left her in my care.
"The b***h lied against my mom in front of the school," she fired and rolled her eyes.
"We're heading to your home?"
"Yeah! I've gotta talk to dad"
"Alright."
In no time, we got to her home, she alighted and I did the same. "Thanks," she managed to say
"It's nothing,"
"No, really, thanks. I appreciate that you stood up for me. I heard everything you said back there," She said and I suddenly felt myself turned pink.
"It's nothing big, I just told them the truth," I managed to say in between the embarrassing minute.
"Thanks," She said again and leaned in for a hug that I gladly accepted.
"I should go in now, just to talk to Dad and we'll move to your house, Sofia would be back from school soon,"
I wanted to tell her that Sofia had travelled with my mom but I kept quite instead before I got a chance to speak, she had turned to her house.
"Wait up!" I called from behind and ran after but she didn't wait. I followed her anyway.
"Dad!!" She screamed as she got in.
Silence.
Okay, this is a side of Ciara that I've never imagined.
"I think you should calm down," I said trying to think if I could do anything to help.
"What's the problem?" I heard a male voice echo from a corridor.
"Dad!" She screamed again as he came to view.
"What happened to you darling?"
"I want nothing but the truth Dad! The truth!"
She's got action!!
"Okay, this is strange," He replied calmly looking from me to Ciara. "How are you doing Castillo?"
"I'm Okay, I think I'll just wait outside," I said and excused them. He nooded in response.
Ciara
"What happened with mom?" I fired at him, he remained completely calm. I knew I was not supposed to act like that to him but I felt completely lost. Was what Maddie said true?
"She's wherever she is now," He replied coldly and walked to the kitchen. It would be hard for him, she left him alone to fend to two kids alone and here I am, screaming at him.
I took a deep breath in and walked up to him.
"Dad, I'm sorry, I heard something today that got really mad"
"No problem," he replied and turned to face me, holding two eggs.
"Did she go for a married man?"
"What?"
"Did his wife commit suicide because of her?" I asked him again. My voice was shaking. Don't tell me that it's true.
Salvatore's outside right?
