Amelia POV:
As I walked out of the house, I saw Alex waiting outside as he leaned by his car. His handsome feature staring down at me as if I was some treasure he didn't want to lose.
I tried my best not to roll my eyes, as my cheeks heated up. Thanks to my parents for not being around till after two months, if not I believe I wouldn't be here right now with him, or even imagine seeing him in person. This just seems like a dream that I don't want to wake up from.
Alex's gaze scanned my face slowly before he said “ You look stunning Belissima.” I scrunched my face confused of what that means. “Don't panic, it's just a word in Italian meaning beautiful,” He spoke.
“Oh wow, thank you, and you look handsome too,” I replied.
*******
An hour ago, Karen had dragged me into a boutique like I was some celebrity. Not knowing it was just a simple date with Alex. I'd grumble the whole time but still followed her there. Now here I'm with the result of that shopping trip.
Dressed with a navy blue dress that hugged my curves like it was made for me. The fabric shimmered under the lights, my hair was tied up in a high ponytail bringing out my face. The heels I wore also clicked with every step I took.
I didn't belong here, not in this dress, not beside Alex and definitely not inside this expensive building that was full of high-class people.
I was feeling nervous as we walked into the building, the beauty of the place was enticing, and have I forgotten that I was with Alex Walton?
We were approached by two waitresses who were dressed like they were born to be envied, and a charming smile on their faces. “Welcome to De’ Walton, Mr Alex, they greeted as they gestured us to a private reservation.
I couldn't believe Alex was doing all this in just the span of one month.
“Are you nervous?” He asked as his eyes shone with amusement. “No, it's just—this is too much Alex, you really don't have to do all this,” I replied.
After sitting down for almost half an hour, I felt my cheeks get heated at his continuous gaze on me, “What are you doing to me?” He asked his voice, sending shivers to my spine as I choked on the water I drank.
“What do you mean by that? I was a little bit confused. “You made me feel things I shouldn't be feeling,” he said.
I wasn't going to lie, I felt the same way too. With a blink of an eye, Alex was right in front of me. “Repeat that again” he asked as our eyes locked. “What? "Repeat what you just said about feeling the same way” he said our lips an inch away.
"I wish those lips were on mine," I thought. As if he knew what I was wishing for, his lips crashed into mine as my legs turned jelly. His lips were as soft as I imagined.
The kiss was gentle at first, but it became a bit rough, as if he was trying to claim me. He withdrew after a while as we both needed some air. His eyes flickering with something unreadable.
“We need to leave, before I take you in here” he said, opening the door for me.
As the elevator door to his penthouse opened, I was scooped from the floor by him towards what seemed to be his bedroom. The room was painted white, giving it an illuminating view, a king-sized bed that can contain more than 2 people at a time. Everything about the room was perfect.
Alex dropped me to my feet, his tall frame towering over me. In a second, he pressed me against the wall of his room.
“A…Alex,” I panted as his lips grazed mine again in a feverish kiss. “We can stop now if you want.” He said as he held my waist tightly.
“No Alex, I want you” I said. I might be ready to admit to myself that I want him now, but I'm a little bit scared if he'll still see me the same after this. Keeping that thought aside, I wrapped my hands around his neck as we kissed and writhed against each other.
I was woken up by the ray of sunlight entering the room and the melodies of birds chirping outside gradually pulling me back to reality.
“Wait, this room doesn't look like mine”.
With a sudden jolt I woke up from bed and looked at my surroundings.
Immediately, the events of last night came.
Crashing on me. “Oh my God I can't believe I did this.” I couldn't hide the blush creeping on my face as I remembered what happened between me and Alex last night.
The other side of the bed was empty and cold, indicating that he hadn't slept there till this morning and I felt a pang of hurt within. I woke up from bed and packed my clothes that were littered on the floor when the bedroom door opened.
“Good Morning ma’am”, a lady in a maid's uniform, greeted me when she entered the room. “Hi, good morning, uhh do you know where Alex is?” She stared at me with wide eyes, as if I had grown two horns. “Oh my– he left early this morning and also I came to inform that breakfast was ready downstairs”.
After she left, I rushed to the bathroom and put my clothes on before leaving the place. I can't believe he would do such a thing. “Why on Earth would he leave without even telling after what happened between us”. I couldn't wait any longer to even think of all this as I rushed back home to avoid Jessica's suspicion.
I was so happy that Jessica's car wasn't packed outside, which meant that she wasn't around, but what caught my eyes made my heart skip a beat. A shiver ran down my spine as the door to our house was slightly opened. “I was doomed”.
