Chapter Seventy-Six
SLOANE
I was informed that Wayne suffered a huge loss since I left and ever since then, they haven't created a collection as successful as the last one where I was the leader. I was also told that those who replaced me didn't last long.
On my first week back to Wayne, some shareholders and sponsors who pulled their shares, apparently reached out again when they heard that I'm back. Some of my co-workers expressed how relieved they are that I'm back, saying I was such a huge asset to the company.
I didn't get all of that through my head, however. I have learned to differentiate true compliments from half-baked side comments. I am confident enough with my skills and that is enough.
I have one problem though, and that problem is a man called Josiah Wayne.
