ASHER POV
There she was, my other half. My missing half.
Her aura burning so bright I'm sure the heaven's needed glasses to shield their eyes. O was pissed, she had every right to be.
She'd tried to help me get home and, instead awoke the devil.
"ASHER YOU GOD DAM i***t! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK THIS IS, A GAME!? BECAUSE I'M NOT PLAYING!" Omega's voice rang through my head.
The wolf growled back at her word's.
"I WON'T LET YOU LEAVE AGAIN! I WONT LET THIS IDIOTS STUPIDITY MESS UP OUR LIVES ANYMORE!" Recognition washed over her.
"I'm not talking to Asher anymore am I?" I could feel the wolf smile at her.
"He's incapable of making the right decisions, so to answer you question. No you aren't."
"Well that's just great!" O rolled her eyes. "I didn't think I'd hate anyone as much as him, but here you are proving me wrong!"
"I'm sure that was meant as insult, but I really don't care. Hate me all you like darling, you still won't be leaving anytime soon!"
"You can't make me stay!" I could see she was fighting whatever thoughts, she didn't want him to hear, whatever secrets he wasn't strong enough to handle.
"I can and I will, I am the alpha of this pack after all and what I say goes!"
"Alpha? Yeah okay." Sarcasm dripping of every word. "Listen honey, I don't know what delusional world you've been living in lately. But here I am to make it clear for you, I don't owe you any loyalty. As far as I can see the only loyalty you've managed to get is revolved around pain and torture, that's not very alpha like is it. I don't owe you anything. Asher on the other hand, I owe him an apology. An apology for thinking he was better than that, and better than this! But I mean if it helps you sleep at night continue by all means, don't let me stop you!" The light around her was so beautiful.
I could feel him slowly wearing down, she'd reopened wounds neither of us had healed from.
So you aren't immune to everyone, I say as I pushed myself forward, drowning him into the back of my head like he'd done to me so many times before.
The bright light sparked even brighter around O, her body radiating a heat that only the sun should be capable of.
O fell forward pushing out her hands to catch herself before she went head first into the ground. Her hair a tangled mess, she was hyperventilating.
"I know that's you Asher. I just want to go home." O fell forward I launched toward's her shifting in time to catch her face in my hands before she hit the road.
I lifted her into my arm's, her head resting against my chest.
And started walking down the road toward's her Grammy's house.
My phone vibrating from my pocket, I pulled it out to see Cas's number flashing across the screen.
"WHAT DID YOU DO!? IS SHE ALIVE? WHAT'S GOING ON!? " Cas screamed through the phone.
"You listened? Jesus f*****g Christ can I get some privacy, like ever!?"
"No, I didn't listen! But we all felt it, whatever just happened wasn't from you. So is she okay?" The voice of a worried brother.
"You could feel that?" I looked down at her, studying her face. She looked warn out, like she'd been fighting a never ending battle. "And yes she is fine!" The amount of faith this guy had in me in outstanding, honestly!
"Not just me the whole pack felt it, what was it?!"
"I don't know yet." Whatever it was, I'd never seen anything like it. "I'll be home soon!"
Cas sighed through the phone.
"Asher you can't bring her home, she has her own home!" What was up with these two and making it clear she didn't want nor need me anymore. I got it, I didn't particularly like it. But it was her decision, so I'd live with it, so long as that's what she wanted.
"I get it Cas, she doesn't need me anymore." Even if I still neeeded her, she had moved past that. "I'm taking her back to Lynn's. I'll see you when I get home." I flipped the phone before he could say anything else that would annoy me, or make the devil show up again.
"Kai?" O whispered in my arm's, her eyes remaining shut.
My body tensed at the mention of the name, the very same name my dad had.
Who in the hell was this Kai she knew though?
Was he the reason she'd moved on?
The reason I no longer had any effect on her?
I guess I knew what my new mission was, to find this Kai guy an ask him how in the hell he'd taken my soul mate.
Had I really lost her for good!?
