OMEGA'S POV
After Luca dropped me off at R's, I ran to my room. I sat on the floor of the closet, the tears I'd been holding in rushing down my face. I didn't make a sound, instead I sat there staring into nothing, letting my emotions drown me until I was nothing but an empty shell. Until all tears I had disappeared. I showered and changed in to baggy pants and a jacket to cover my bra, my reflection in the mirror a girl I didn’t recognise. My short blonde hair that I usually curled was straight, my face swollen and red from tears.
R sent people up to tell me when dinner was ready, but I sent them away, telling them I wasn't feeling well. I'd been sitting on the bed wondering what in the f**k I was supposed to do, I needed so much more strength to survie this. They thought I was invincible, they couldn't be more wrong. I felt like I was one foot on Earth and the other was far, far away.
"That's enough Marcus. Just go!"
I could hear R's voice down stairs, I snuck out of the room and headed down the stairs.
"Dammit!" I walked straight in to him, I rubbed my face as if it would make me feel better. "Sorry, I didn't see you there." I went to turn and got up to stairs before I had a mini heart attack, R didn't have to tell me. I felt it.
Asher's voice sounded distant.
"Omega."
I frowned at R, who moved out of the way to show a semi concious Asher being held up, by who I was guessing was Marcus.
"The cab driver said he gave them this address." R said when I just stared at Asher, Asher fell forward.
"I'm sorry." My voice felt distant, I felt distant. Like I wasn't in control anymore.
"Don't ever think you have to apologise to me Omega, you are my family I've told you that. He is welcome to stay until he is fit to leave again." Without thinking it through I closed the distance between us and hugged him, I caught him off guard and he wasn't sure what to do. But he ended up patting me on the back in return, baby steps he was an ancient vampire.
"Thank you. Just put him on my bed, I'll sleep on the sofa bed."
"There's plenty of other roo-" R put a finger up silencing Marcus.
"Very well." R smiled at me while Marcus just sighed. "I have a few thing's to do, but dinner will be sent up to you. You need to eat."
Without another word R disappeared.
Once I got back to the room I waited for Marcus to leave before I sat on the chair next to the bed, the man sleeping infront of me looked so normal. I knew better, he was anything but normal.
"Asher what are you doing to yourself." I whispered spelled the alcohol.
"It's not really you." His eye's opened for a moment and closed, he winced at the brightness of the light.
"Yeah, it is me."
"I'm sorry." He clearly thought this was still a dream.
"I know, me too." I whispered not sure what part he was actually sorry for.
"You told me that the girl I loved, that she doesn't exist anymore." I watched his face, he paused, was he to scared to ask? A tear ran down his cheek. "I was wondering if some part of her did, some tiny part that will help me fight through this because I don't think I can survive this without her." His word's cut me, left splinters deep in my heart. A tear slid down my face, I pushed it away before he could see.
"I hope so." That me was barely alive, whatever piece of her I had left I buried deep. Protecting what last bit of innocence and love I had left.
He was silent for a while, I thought he'd falled asleep again until he sighed.
"If you didn't know me at all, you would of had a perfect life."
"Knowing you was never the issue Asher. I don't know why you would ever think it was."
"You want to know the real reason you knowing me is a bad thing? I know what real pain does to someone, it can turn an angel into a demon. I am a demon, I didn't want you to be one to." I had an advantage I didn't like, he was only telling me this because he was drunk.
"Let's talk tomorrow, when you aren't drunk enough to think this is a dream." Asher sighed but didn't say anything else, keeping his eyes shut.
I looked out the window, it was pitch dark outside .
"But I want to hear your voice." I looked back at him to see he'd been staring at me.
"I'm too tired too fight Asher."
"Are you talking about this situation or the whole thing?"
"I'm tired off whatever this is between us, I'm tired because all we've ever done is push each other away and hurt each other. I'm sick of not knowing where our daughter is. I'm just tired."
"Say it one more time." I rolled my eye's at Asher.
"I'm tired." Asher laughed at me.
"No. 'Our' daughter. It sounded nice." My heart skipped a beat.
"Asher." I didn't know what to say, my head and heart had a haze over them, clouding every bit of them.
"I did something." Asher closed his eye's.
Why am I not surprised.
"What did you do?"
"I had a witch spell you to be my soul mate, and when I realised what I'd done it was too late." The word's played over in my head, I kept repeating them like it would make sense, but non of this made sense.
"What are you trying say? That Luca is my actual soul mate?" I sat back in to the chair my head spinning.
"I'm saying I loved you so much I didn't want anyone else to have you. Luca is your real soul mate. I'm so sorry Omega, I tried to fix it. I tried to make thing's right again, but I eneded up making it worse for everyone."
"You wanted to be my soul mate?" Asher sighed. "Why?"
Asher's eye's snapped back at me.
"Omega Lynn Dawson, I've accept you as my mate from the first time I seen you. I still do today, tomorrow and always. I love you O!"
As the word's left his lips I was slapped in the face with the magic of the bond, it was like a tsunami hitting me without warning. My body ached, I screamed.
I fell off the chair, my head hitting the edge of the bed and everything went black.
