ASHER'S POV "I'll have another." I told the bar tender as I place the empty cup down the ice hitting the side's, I had lost count of how many I had but the coaster in front of me had word's and a girl's face when I got here, now it had six face's. "Yes sir." "No. His cut off." I sighed, Elodie normally didn't work on these day's, it was the only reason I'd even decided to show up here. "I don't need a parent, had two. Look how they ended up." I sculled down the rest before she could take that away too. "I bet she called you." "You and I both know Omega hasn't spoken to me since you decided to mess around with my sister, so don't talk s**t. And if you remember I stayed and helped you clean up the mess!" Elodie didn't hide the disgust in her tone, one of the few soul's alive that can get away with it. I'd changed the women in my life, I'd made them stoic. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad, probably bad. "What happened?!" I looked over at her, she was studying my face trying to read me. "Omega has found her real soul mate." Even as the word's left my mouth I knew I'd messed up, but I couldn't stop myself. "Real? What does that even mean?!" Ell sighed. "For fucksake Asher what the f**k did you do!?" "Hey! Who said it was." I lifted my hand's for her to back up when her face turned red, she was mad. "Okay, fine. It was me, and you know what I don’t regret it one bit! The only person I've ever wanted to be with is Omega!" My answer didn't please her. "What, did you do Asher!?" Impatient. "I asked a witch to do a spell." "What kind of sp." I seen it in her eye's, she stumbled back sitting on the bar chair next to me. "Jesus f*****g christ." "Yeah." I sighed. "A spell." "Mhmm." "Wow." Elodie put her hand up for the bar tender to get her a drink. "I know." My voice broke. "Who are you?!" I couldn’t help but laugh. "You spelled her to be your soul mate." She said the word's out loud as if it would make more sense. "Omega doesn't know." Her eye's rolled and she downed her drink. "Yeah, no s**t. You'd of been dead a long time ago!" I could see Ell trying to figure everything out that had happened over the year's, putting the piece's together. "She'd hate me even more if she knew you spent the bad time's here." Ell sighed. "Exactly, why you should just leave me to drink." I grabbed her next glass and drank it, getting an annoyed look from her. "You do realise this is all mine right?" Ell pointed around the room. "You should leave." "That seems like the logical thing to do doesn't it." I nodded. Ell sighed. "So you aren't leaving." "Nope." "Okay no, I need another drink." I waited for her to get her drink, thankfully she asked him to get me one to, once he gave us our drinks and left I turned to her. "How would I even tell her." I couldn't even find the word's. "I ruined her life." "At least you felt bad, you wanted to fix it once you realised." Ell whispered. "What do you mean?" "That's why you kept hurting her, to push her away isn't it? But the moment you realized you went to far everything changed for you. Tell me I'm wrong, I won't believe you anyway." "You should of been a therapist." I sighed. "I am, Monday through Sunday. Only difference is that mines in a night club. Let's be honest, I get paid more." Ell and Cas had become my rock's, they didn't even care that the only reason I needed them was because they held a part of Omega in them. "Do you think if I told her thing's would of been different?!" I crigned as I heard myself. "I don't know, what I do know is that what you two could have is more powerful than any soul mate. You choice her, you picked her out of everyone on this Earth. That has to count for something, right?!" And that was exactly my point. "Yeah I picked her, she didn't really get a choice though did she." "Asher?!" I froze unable to move. "Go home Law." I said through my teeth, I didn’t need his s**t right now. "Is that an order." His voice was low with worry. "Yes it's a f*****g order." I spun on the chair. "Let's see how far you can push me tonight shall we?!" "I'm not here to fight with you, I'm here to see if you are okay." He sat next to me. "Do you mind?" "No. I'm not doing this, I get it okay! I'm the crazy one, I don't need you all watching me every second of the day though!" "Send him home in one piece." Law said to Ell getting up and leaving for the door. "I don't need anyone's halp, I mean help. Okay, so you two stay here. Enjoy the drinks, bartender put whatever their having on my tab. Nice chatting with you both, enjoy the intervention." I stumbled away from them, outside on to the street's, it was cold and foggy, the street's were empty besides for the people leaving or the taxi's waiting. "Where are you headed?" An old man's voice asked from the front. I leaned against the side of the cab letting the coldness sooth the heat I felt. I jump in the back, giving him the piece of paper I'd had tucked in my pocket. It wasn't long in to the drive that I closed my eye's, letting my brain finally surrender to the darkness. My thought's racing, from a million different thing's, a million different pain's and memories. All waiting under the surface, to drag me under.
