Blood will fall

ASHER'S POV

This was a bad idea, I'm such an i***t. Forcing her to show up? What good was that going to-do, it didn't mean she wanted to be here and that's all I've wanted since she'd gotten back. 

For her to choice to stay, for her to choice me. And here I was forcing her to attend a stupid blood moon party!

O, was an hour late.

I'd been forced to stand here at the entrance to what was supposed to be our kingdom, welcoming people. Welcoming them alone, I guess I bought it on myself. 

"This is some party Alpha." Law, great I forgot about him. Just my luck, was he here to see me get stood up? 

"Hello uncle, nice to see you out." His grin widened. 

"Yeah right boy, like I'd miss this!" I really wanted to knock that smirk right of his goddamn face.

I walked away from the door, excusing myself like I had important thing's to tend to, but really all I wanted was to hide away in the office. 

I needed to calm myself before I f****d up, yet again. 

I weaved my way through the crowd, ignoring people who tried to call me over, ignoring people who pretend they knew me. 

"Asher?" I turned my head. "Are you. " I cut him off. 

"Cas, do not ask me if I'm alright. Because chances are I'll end up ripping off your head." He stepped back, disapering in-to the crowd, wise move! 

I stopped at the office door, my heart pounding in my chest so hard, I was sure I was going to have a heart attack. 

I swung the door open. 

"s**t! NO-ONES ALOUD IN HERE!" Omega yelled, turning around. 

She was dressed in a long silver dress that trailed behind her, her hair bundled up in a crown of curls. She looked beautiful, not that, that was hard for her. 

"Oh, it's just you." Just me? Ouch. 

"I didn't think you'd make it." I said walking past her to pick up the book she'd dropped, the title, wolf's past and present. Interesting read, for someone who acted like being a wolf was the worst thing on the planet. 

"Like I had a choice. I believe the word's said something like 'this isn't a negotiation' little hard to ignore that! I snuck in through the back, I didn't realise how many wolf's would be here" She rubbed her arm, she was hiding out in here. "I'll leave."

"NO!" I grabbed her arm, she looked at me. I let go stepping back. "I mean, you don't have to leave. This is your office as much as it is mine. Everything here is." O nodded. "So why are you in here?"

"I." O walked around, trailing her hand over the books on the shelves. 

"Honestly? I wanted to abuse you for making me stay, for turning that night. For everything I guess." Well, at least she's being honest. 

"So why haven't you?" I remembered Cas, he'd tried to warn me she was in here and I'd pushed him away. "Because Cas told you not to." O rolled her eyes. 

"It's so weird that you two are friend's after everything that happened. But no, not because of Cas. I guess I just wanted to see how you've changed for myself." Omega laughed to herself, stopping at a picture I'd put up of us at our ball. Our last real good memories together, before. Before I f****d our whole world up. I stuck my hand's behind my back, not trusting myself. 

"You look beautiful!" The words stumble their way out, before I can even think about what I'm saying. O tilted her head, studying me like one of the books. 

"I had a lot of help." 

"I don't think you needed it." Why in the f**k did I sound like such an i***t! 

"I shouldn't be here Asher, this" Omega pointed around the room. "Isn't me anymore, I have dreams, and hopes. And they don't revolve around me being in charge of hundreds of people." And just like that, she turned my world upside down. 

"I remember when I was apart of that. It used to be our dreams, we can find our way back to that O. I know I f****d up, more time's than I'd like to admit, but I'm not that guy anymore. I'm not the same guy as the one who wrote that invitation, or the one who broke your heart. I've changed, I'm trying to everyday."

"I know. I can see that you want to, and I really wish that was enough! Really I do! But I can't be what you want me to be! I'm not her anymore!" Omega put the picture back on the shelf, along with my heart. 

"What if all I want is you, this you right now! What if I don't want any of this without you! What if I left with you!" Tears streamed down her face, my heart ached to touch her, to hold her. To never see the tears again. 

"And we'd be happy for a little while, and after I'd remember all of this! 

All the people you'd of left alone, all those people out there count on you! 

Hell they worship you! I won't be the girl that toke that all away!"

"Sounds like you are saying goodbye." I whispered, not knowing any other way to convince her to stay. 

"I am."

"I love you Asher! And I don't think I'll ever stop, and as much as it breaks my heart. In this life, right now. We just aren't meant to be." 

I was doing it before I could think, before I could stop myself. 

I grabbed her in my arm's and kissed her, my heart burning with a fire that could light up the world, to my surprise she didn't stop. 

Omega wrapped her arm's around my neck and pulled me closer, my world stopped. 

Nothing else mattered, except this woman right here in my arm's! 

It didn't matter that, outside a hundred people all waited for me, it didn't matter that our time was limited! 

I knew in this moment, nothing would change this! 

Not time! 

Not distance! 

Omega was the love of my life, my entire world! 

Everything else meant nothing, and if I had to fight for the rest of my life to show her that I would! 

O pulled back, her phone ringing from her bag. I could hear her heart racing, tearing apart. 

"Hel." She steadied herself, gripping on to the shelf. "Hello?"

I tried to calm myself breathing, slow the room from spinning. 

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE!?" 

"WHAT ARE YOU!?" Omega's eyes widened. 

"O?" She fell backwards, I grabbed her before she hit the ground. Picking up the phone I wanted to kill whoever was on the other end!

"OMEGA!?" It wasnt Lynn. 

"WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?" I yelled in-to the phone.

"Asher!?"
