Emmaline -
The pairings leading up to Emmaline's first were nothing special. Damian's obviously held the most interest, a massive wolf popping people's heads was new and exciting. But the others were vampire against vampire, no new special contenders.
And watching the fights, Emmaline could see that the vampires, even the ones who won, were nothing to worry about. The ones who lost were the ones who showed an inflated sense of ego, they used fancy fighting techniques that ultimately were useless. The ones who won only did so because they were just a little bit stronger or quicker than the opponent.
Emmaline could already tell she was the strongest and quickest of the vampires contenting. Damian truly was the only one she was concerned about.
