He Betrayed My Love For Him

Introduction.. Was one of the best students during my stay in high school.i don't know why when you excel as a girl people say you're a witch.. Meanwhile when you fail too they'll mock you, I said. Sometimes it's sheer envy. Those who wish they could excel too but are unable to do so are the ones who often label those who excel as witches. I'm Sarah..,have big sexy eyes, pointed nose, a black curly hair and I'm fair in complexion..one can't resist looking at me twice cause I know I'm damn gorgeous..not only that, I'm an intelligent girl in my class as well... It was my dream to study further in Oxford university which my grand father has promised to take me there if I perform well in high school.. Because of this, I skip entertainment and burn the candle to pass my exams..I was only a year left from talking my O'levels, when suddenly David surfaced..It has just began .. How it started.. He was nineteen going to twenty, and in upper sixth grade.I,on the other hand had just turned seventeen years old.He was our sport prefect and a nationally acclaimed athlete. Indeed he was popular, and had many admirers, both in the school and outside, I revealed. He was handsome, too thick, tall, athletic and all that.. Our paths crossed during an inter-house athletic competition. I don't know what prompted me but I offered to stand in for just one off effort.. Actually, I was the book type not the tracks type. I was the Third runner for my house in that relay.As soon as I crossed the finish line to win it for my house,I felt a male student's hand on my shoulder. I learnt back on his chest to catch my breath, thinking it was one of my housemates who was trying to give moral support.Then came his deep voice:Wow! Didn't know you could run like that by the way you look.You were awesome and amazing!..He said....I tilted my head to look into his face and saw it was David,the famous guy on campus.. I tried to withdraw from him then, cause I felt nervous and shy of him.But he tighten his grip not letting me move or letting me go as well.He continued to hold me close in his arms, telling me how he admired amateurs like me who could run as well as I had done.I felt today was a great day in my life in which I have done something spectacular for my house ... He started by trying to convince me to join the school athletic team,of which he was the leader,but I declined.Yet, we ended up chatting on end, talking about everything, including academics, sports, social issues, and even talk about religion. He also told me about the successes he had chalked up as a member of the National Athletics Team.He talked about the experiences he had had, being on the team. We seemed to be friends on our first encounter...
